Push button start for 2017 year

Push button start for 2017 year
I've seen some videos on YouTube where people are showing off how they've done a push button start aka Keyless Go on their first generation G63. But I've searched this forum and can't find any threads where anyone discusses this. Is this a thing that can be done? I know that Mercedes makes that push button that basically slides exactly into the key slot on the dash, and it looks like it would fit on the G63 but I imagine there is some programming that has to be done.
Also I'm curious if the G63 can be remote started by using the MercedesMe app.

Yes. However when I had the 2020 S class it required a different and newer Mbrace app, so I had two separate apps on my phone. I wouldn't be surprised if MB phases out the older Mbrace at some point making it obsolete. Hope not but with MB anything is possible.

I see, I wonder why they have to use two apps, what version is the Hermes module on your vehicle?

So I got remote start working through Mercedes Me app. But looking for push button start so I don't have to fumble with the key all the time. This is the only one I can find online and it doesn't look super reliable.
link doesn't work, but it's DMP Car Design for $349. it talks about soldering a key to something. I just wanted something clean and reliable, so i might stick with Mercedes Me and not have push button.

that doesn't work. it needs equipment installed to communicate wirelessly between the key and the engine. that little button is nothing but a piece of plastic with no electronics

I asked because I heard that Keyless Start is standard on vehicles without Keyless Go for some MB models, so it doesn't come with a button stock but the hardware and electronics is there hence why using a finger and rotating it will start the car.
