For distronic recall, the ESP software is updated to reduce engine power.
The transmission is shifting faster and smoother. Prior to the TCU software update, there is significant lag at the start.
Overall, It was a worthwhile recall I think. If you haven't done it, I'd go get it done. My friend has a gla250 that broke down in the middle of no where. MB could not pin point the car to call a tow truck. He eventually had to resort to call his own insurance instead. So the PASS recall can be helpful if you ever had to call MB Roadside. MB covers roadside even if you are out of warranty as long as you service the car at dealer .
