New here! G550 sunroof making noise in tailgate would love some help

When opening or closing the sunroof for some reason it makes a noise in the tailgate area drivers side
it’s not the sunroof but only does it when opening and closing the sunroof
sunroof opens and closes very smoothly
anyone have any experience with this?
thank you 🙏🏻

The motor for the sunroof is in the cargo area, driver side, back panel behind the cargo area speaker.

Remove the rubber trim, then pull the panel away and take a look at the motor.

That's a likely problem if the car has ever been in an acident.
