W463 G550 to G63 Conversion

After missing out on a few G63a, I'm going to 'convert' my 13 G550 to G63. I already have the 20" AMG Wheels. What's a good budget for front bumper, larger flares, painting, emblems (incl. front qtr side strip emblems),spacers, and exhaust tips to make the cosmetically unauthentically, authentic? Yes, I know ....

Sources for parts would be appreciated. Thank you.

For your G550 to G63 conversion, budget around $5,000 to $10,000. Here's a rough breakdown:

- Front Bumper: $1,500 - $3,000 (look for OEM or high-quality aftermarket)- Fender Flares: $1,000 - $2,000 (check brands like Lumma or MBRP)- Painting: $500 - $1,500 (depends on quality and local rates)- Emblems: $200 - $500 (OEM parts from a dealer or online)- Spacers:$200 - $500 (consider brands like H&R or Eibach)- Exhaust Tips: $300 - $800 (look for AMG-style tips)For parts, check websites like eBay, Amazon, or specialized forums for G-Wagon enthusiasts. You can also try local Mercedes-Benz dealerships or performance shops. Good luck with your build.

Sky, G63s are high 50s all day. You will be far better off selling the G550 and just picking up a G63. Then you don't have to live with the shame of putting a biturbo sticker on your G550 lol

This is the way, most same year, same miles G550 vs G63 and the G550 will sell for more.

I wanted a 2013 G550 but could not find one for a good price, so I ended up with a low mile 2014 G63 at a great price, less than a G550, and it still had 1 year left on a warranty, so it worked out ok.

You are correct. I need to get off BaT and look at other places.

i really don’t get why people consider doing this sort of thing. I would want the G63 primarily for the extra power and the different suspension, which you wouldn’t end up with. Changing the cosmetics of a G550 will just reduce the value of the G550 - you still won’t have a G63. The G550 is already a really special vehicle and most people wouldn’t really notice the difference anyway.

If you really want a G63, just be patient and get the real thing.

There are no deals on bat. Ever. Bat is good for entertainment, not actually buying vehicles.

Be honest, you aren't converting a G550 to a G63 without changing the engine. The engine is the whole point of the G63.

I definitely regret this post! I will be more thoughtful next time!

There are a few things I like about the G63 that I plan on adding to my G550 as 'accents.'. 20" AMG Wheels (Done) and I like the G63 side exhaust. If I can cost effectively do a similar exhaust I will. I thought about the front bumper but that leads to swapping the wheel arches and adding spacers so I decided to leave that alone.

I'm adding the reverse spare tire carrier tomorrow so I will probably leave every thing alone at that point.

Appreciate all the feedback.
