I am running HRE 22" for the summer and just took them off for the winter...for the winter set I took the OEM tires off and put Scorpion All Terrain Plus tires on the OEM 20" wheels. Went with 275/55/20 size with 31MM H&R spacers. Its pretty quiet (same as the summer tires on my 22") and drives nicely! I had to do a little plastic surgery on the wheel well front vents to not have them rub at full turn - but it was minor, just heated up the bottom 3 rows and pushed the vents flat....
Is it the 31mm spacers that cause the tires to rub? OE tire size on 20" wheels is 275/50R20. I mounted 275/55R20 A/T tires (Geolandars) and the tires don't come close to rubbing.
I don't know if its the spacers or the type of tires... when I swapped the tires I mounted the spacers and never tried them without! You might be right because its the outside edge of the wheel that rubs in the wheel well - so there is definitely more space if the wheels are set in a bit ...
We had the Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus on our 2020 G63 - 275/55R20. Tire was great, no rubbing.
Looks to me like you are not running spacers, so it must be the spacers that are causing the rub in the front wheel wells!! The rub with the spacers is minor - I think with the adjustment I made in the wheel well it basically gave me lie 1/2" more clearance and thats all that is needed!!!
