Yesterday, while doing some construction, a delivery truck became stuck and dug itself in. I had my defender with me which has recovery loops, ATS tires, and locking diffs. We pulled the delivery truck out in seconds.
If I had my trail pack 63 with me yesterday, where would have been an easy spot to mount a pull strap? Does MB or any reputable aftermarket company sell a an optional tow loop like a LR (photo shown below)?

I wasn’t so much towing as much as testing the abilities on muddy ungraded farm land. You will never experience what this truck was built for unless you take it off road. The best toys are the ones that are often used (and not just for flexing).

These towing hooks (front and back) are intended for winching your truck onto a flatbed in the event your truck becomes disabled (for example, you blow out your transmission while pulling a delivery truck out of a ditch). If you have an irrestible urge to rescue other stuck vehicles, mount a receiver hitch hook, install a winch or trade it for a tow truck.
The factory recovery hoop on the back of the G would have been more than enough for what you were doing. As others have said, you can also get a hitch mounted shackle insert that would work with the factory tow hitch.
