I hope I don't get flagged on this, but we just had a buyer back out on a China Blue G 63 today. It's on the ground and available for those hunting. MSRP +$12k.

I was about to jump on this when you were at MSRP + $10K. Seriously though, this seems a bargain given where markups have been over the past 3 years. China Blue was all the rage 2 years ago -- probably about when this G was ordered. I saw one at a dealership in Phoenix -- nice, but not my color. But it'll sell fast I'm sure!

Out of curiosity how does your dealer handle it--deposit refundable at cancellation or do you wait until the car sells to refund it? What was the buyer's reason to back out as I'm sure they were waiting awhile?

This situation was a little frustrating for both parties. Unfortunately, the factory failed to configure the car as it was ordered. It was a minor option that wasn’t applied but I think we’re all on the same page, on a nearly quarter of a million dollar truck you want what you ordered.

The customer left their deposit and will have their configuration applied to our next available allocation.

$10k was a typo after what was shared with me but could be possible. I know we were holding off on a $10k offer on Saturday.

LA area, i have long history with dealer, also i never put any down for allocations, as many dealers require, as long as the car in queue i ask my sales rep to build and he puts my name to it

Sweet! I wish I could find someone who would do that. Love our new 2024 Magno Copper Orange color but would have done a different interior, added additional options. Would love to be able to do that someday.
