When I ordered a red exterior for my 2021 back in summer 2020, the dealer told me like three times that my $5,000 deposit would be non-refundable once the spec locked 
. That's not even taking into account the interior was red too.
Not a horrible idea, but I bet in California even the craziest spec will eventually sell even if it's a smaller ADM.
