I ordered mine (G 550) on October 15th. It was built on November 19th and hit the Baltimore port on January 2nd. I'm expecting another two to three weeks for delivery. Hope this helps.

I have a PO number on my build sheet, not sure if that makes any difference.
Bought from a dealer in Dallas, TX

Anyone else on this topic I have my vehicle going into production this coming week I believe or the following I can't fully remember what my SA told me. When should I expect to take delivery? Just wondering if things have changed with covid and production timeframes.

Actually - the glitch here is no one seems to ask their Dealer - "on the last G-Wagon came it - about how long did it take from the time it was built to arrive here at the Dealership"
Please-please don't ever assume a answer from this forum replaces your responsibility to ask and have your Dealer answer that legitimate question "Every G-Wagon Buyer Should Ask and Have Answered"
1. Factory/Graz - in general has been "building" G's to Production Date since June - admirable effort really
2. Once Built - your G goes to the "back lot" at Graz - and then is loaded on the "weekend train" that takes it up to the MB departure terminal at Port.
3. It arrives German Port Sunday - but for the past 6 months it can take another 3-4 days for the MB departure terminal to "log it in"
4. Once "logged in" at the departure yard - it will show in your salesman's system as "At Port Waiting for Ship Assignment
5. Pre-Covid "Waiting for Ship Assignment" usually meant it would be assigned a ship leaving for the US the following week - which changes status to "At Port Ship Assigned".
6. Now-In-Covid the # of car carrier ships coming over are cut way back - so nowadays is can be about another Week to 10 Days to move to "At Port Ship Assigned" - and for that actual Ship-Name/Departure-And-Arrival Date" to be posted/updated to the record for your G
7. Once Port-Departure Date and Estimated US Port arrival has been Posted - your Dealer can give you the Estimated Time from Port Arrival (Clearance is fast/fast for G's, 1-2 days) and the expected time to load/deliver your G from Port-To-Dealer
8. The "nice piece " is with Vessel Name you can track the G-Ocean-Cruise thru free Ship-Tracking Web--Site
Every G-Buyer is excited coming down to the "it's Built when do I get it" - and frankly as Outlined Above - the "best estimate" is when Step 6 - Ship-Assigned with Name/Departure-US Arrival has been posted in that G's NetStar record for your Dealer to see

Sorry I forgot to mention I'm located in western Canada if that makes any difference in delivery schedules.
Also I'm assuming once it arrives at the port locally to be sent out it waits for a truck to be assigned and fill up for transport? Which will probably delay things more.

For my order (Canadian delivery), the G arrived at Halifax Port on Dec 27th, 2020, and was delivered to my local dealer in Ontario today Jan 12th, 2021 - total of 16 days.
I think all Canadian orders run through Halifax, so assuming similar import timelines you’ll likely be around 20 days for the extra 4,000km of transport distance....but this is all a complete guess!!!

The whole process was very quick!
Walked into the dealer Sept 2020 and ordered a low-spec G550 for my wife (estimate was 12 months before delivery). Dealer called the following month and asked if I wanted to "upgrade" and take from customer who bailed a configurable G63 build...Obviously the answer was "YES!!!!!".
Order locked in November, and the rest of the process was shown below.
So technically 4 months from first contact to truck in-hand.
Based on what I've read on this Forum, I think I got REALLY lucky!
I hope your process runs as smoothly as mine.

Where are you locate in Canada?
Dealer told me they will only sell G Wagons to clients within their territory (Ottawa area) to reduce risk of of flippers acquiring these highly coveted vehicles and reselling in a more competitive market @ profit.

makes sense, you could let them know I’ll sign an export waiver
