2019 G63 Brakes Noisy
Got my 2019 G63 last April. After about 10k miles my brakes started to squeal. I’m talking old school bus squeal. Was at dealer for 3 weeks sending recordings to Germany engineers etc. They changed pads with new adhesive. Was fine immediately after “fix”. Now about 4 weeks later it has started to squeal again. Always under light breaking typical of city driving. Anyone else got noisy G63 brakes? Thanks

Back at the dealer. A technical case has been opened with MB by the dealer. This is what happened last time when it spent 3 weeks there. That time it was a new pad adhesive. Worked for about a month. Will see what happens this time. I have had 2013, 2017 and 2018 G63 without this issue. Only on new version 2019. I will update after MB gets back to dealer.

I have the same problem. Did you ever get it fixed? @gotwire @Hrada2020

Had pads, discs and “new” biadhesive replaced on all four. Better but still squeaks. Normal for AMG I’m told.
there was a new S63 at dealer service with same issue.

What do you think about bedding the brakes? I know that there is a LOT of confusion about bedding brakes (especially over at the Ferrari forum). Bedding brakes is VERY important if you have ceramic brakes. but I don't know if it's as important for steel brakes? Ask Mercedes (or the AMG folks) if they have a preferred bedding process?

My 19 G63 brakes squeal like there’s no tomorrow. My F car with ceramics also didn’t sound fantastic either. At least the Gs breaks can still perform well when cold. Would hate to see a G with ceramics try to stop in the cold....

Generally, brake noise originates from vibration within the wheel end section
Different type of brakes noises are:
• Grinding
• Squeaking
• Knocking from the rear
Any problem related to brakes might be dangerous to you, so I suggest you to kindly contact any local mechanic.

Another data point - my 2020 G63 also squeaks/squeals at low speeds occasionally. I think it is normal - drove around Beverly Hills today with the sunroof open and heard plenty of other G63s (2019-20) making the same noise lol

okay, same issue that I have. Got over 7k miles. I hated it when my bmw squealed at low speed rolling but owning Porsche 911, this brake squeal while lightly braking is a non issue for me - it’s common on Porsche with high performance brakes and same case here with g63 imo

Soon: 2020 G63 Currently: 2016 GLE63 SUV + 97 F250HD, Before: 2013 G550, Range Rover Sport, 1984 CJ7
2020 G63, My brakes starting squealing at 5k miles. Super embarrassing as it is so damn loud. I drive through Hoboken, NYC, etc and people turn heads not at the G but at the loud screaming brakes. I need to bring in soon.

My 2020 g63 and my 2014 911 with PCCB’s tend to squeal a bit...My 2015 g63 never squealed. For the 2020 g73 , my MB dealer replaced rotors and pads on my 2020...my SA is world class and just get things done...not sure if MB wants to do this on all G wagons.
I hate hearing the squeal of any car , especially mine. One trick I use is to spray my brakes with water when cold ...let them dry a bit with surface oxidation ...then I drive forwards and backwards @ 30 yds or so with heavy brake and slight amount of throttle to scrub the rotors in both directions ...my neighbors get a chuckle ...lol.
In any case, this tends to eliminate the squeal for some time (usually @ 5-10 days ). It’s a workaround and both cars tend to fight this strategy by cutting throttle when I apply brake at the same time ..but the cars allow me to do it briefly ....PCCBs on my 911 tend to squeal with weather changes ...humidity etc ...
Cheers-
