Stop Sale at VPC

From a business standpoint, Mercedes knows that no owner is going to walk from their G even with the wait, and if somehow somebody has, there’s a line of people at the dealer waiting to gladly pay over sticker to take the vehicle instead.
So no, expecting any concessions is just setting up for disappointment unfortunately.

Still being told “mid to late April” on the release of my 4/4 Brunswick arrival. Have a feeling that it’s more of a mid-May type thing considering the timeline of others on thread.
Unsure how accurate this is, but hearing that the part being shipped over is a semiconductor and due to significant supply shortages, only a small number can be obtained / delivered / programmed each week. Not being given any precise details though so this is all speculation from the dealership.

As all of you finally take delivery of your new G's, check the NHTSA's website at www.nhtsa.gov/recalls. Enter your G's VIN and see if the recall identity that has been holding up delivery eventually appears. Every vehicle's recall record is on file, along with the status of the recall repairs. Vehicles now being released from VPC should eventually appear with the recall showing as completed. This also applies to vehicles that were delivered prior to the recall announcement, that will eventually receive recall letters from MBUSA.

My sales guy just emailed and said it’s should be arriving any day now.
Arrived on March 10th in Baltimore - looks like they’re moving pretty quickly on these.
Anyone picking up from Manhattan MB? I’m seeing a 20k markup on my purchase agreement!!! They’re a corporate store! Shoot me a PM

Worst experience ever with Mercedes of arlington va , I ordered a G63 from them on Nov 2nd 2020 which is a paid 30k over the msrp to get it and the car just arrived yesterday to the dealership, I went today to pick it up when I arrived they told me the car had an accident yesterday when they were doing the pre inspection test drive so the manager (Mark Zetlin) hes so rude and unprofessional offered to fix the car which was a full rear bumper replacement and the rear gate have to be replaced and painted as well and it’s going to take another month to get it done, so I told the manager Mark Zetlin at least to reduce the 30k to 10k since the car had an accident now he didn’t agree and said he will fix it and sell it

E552006: Congrats! Love the Arabian gray. Thinking hard about maybe getting that next time around.
And agree I wouldn’t buy a new car that’s already damaged. How doofy is that dealership to damage a brand new car?

I’ll post some more pics on a sunny day. Color really changes. I love it.

I’d pass on the damaged one, if it needs paint work the matte colors are very hard, if even possible, to fix without doing a full respray. If your willing to pay the markup there should be plenty showing up at dealers now that they’re starting to be released from the VPCs. I’m sure the thought of waiting longer doesn’t sit well either but I think its worth the wait just to know you have a flawless G.
I agree about the Arabian grey, I’ve been thinking of changing my order to that with night package plus. Currently waiting for one in obsidian black.

Check through your documentation and maintenance manual to see if there's any record of the repair work that delayed delivery for 5 weeks. If nothing is noted, check NHTSA's website with you VIN.

All these people gettin' their G's, and I'm sitting here like..
I'm hoping I get a call here soon, mines been sitting at the port since March 11th, so it should have been released by now.
