I know this get old with posts like this but I am looking to order a G63 and have tried all throughout GA. Every dealer I contact wants $50k over Msrp. I have no issue with waiting a year or more or even paying a little over, but $50k?

Can anyone make some recommendations on this forum for some sales people or dealers that are more reasonable even out of state? I plan to keep it awhile and live in the country and will be used off road etc. not that that matters.

A dealer told me last week that its G550s are going for MSRP + $40K, and its G63s are going for MSRP + $80K. Who is driving this mark-up? All the suckers who are willing to pay what's being asked. The reason you can't get a G63 for MSRP + $20K is because there's another buyer willing to pay MSRP + $50K. It's an auction - the highest bidder gets the car. If you don't like the rules, buy a Porsche or BMW.

 

I didn't say I didn't like the rules just asked a question and in my experience Porsche especially the GT cars a far far worse. That being said your comment is not very helpful and there is always a smaller market somewhere or a dealer that may be willing to part with an allocation for msrp or slightly over.

 

I was very luck to get one at 10k over and only a 7 months wait.

I pick it up this week, not too bad considering hearing how insane ADM has got in the past 6months because of all the chip shortages.

 

I've found that cargurus.com is the best guide to current G550 and G63 inventory nationwide. Some listings indicate MSRP + markup, while others show only MSRP, and none indicate if the vehicle is already sold. Call some of the dealers in the smaller markets and offer them MSRP -- let us know how it goes.

 

Hope delivery goes well for you. Another forum post indicated the dealer jacked the price up when the vehicle arrived.

She's fedexing me all the papers to sign and she already gave me the pricing sheet signed with no additional increase, so it should be good to go.

I mean this dealer is one of the largest AMG dealers in the Nation, you'd hope they wouldn't do such ****ty business practices.
