Heard it sounding off, was able to stop it with the key fob. No apparent reason for it to go off. Afterwards, I tested by trying to open it with doors locked, even jumping up and down on the running boards and nothing. Anybody else have false alarm like this? If so, was dealer able to find anything?

 

This happened to mine once. I chalked it up to the ghost of my Saint Bernard.

Unless it happens again, I'd leave it. Nothing to obsess over. Every so often I hear a random alarm go off in a parking lot, not a big deal.

 

Possible solution accoring to the dealer: The door latch recall may have something to do with it. The car may have thought the door was opened and sounded the alarm.

 

Well they installed the child safety latches upside down so it's not entirely surprising that the doors think they're open when they're closed, and open by themselves in order to think they're closed (lol).

 

Update on this - this has not happened since the door latch recall was completed. It's been almost 3 months.

 

Today is the second day in a row my neighbors call me to tell me the alarm is going off. Why? I have no reason. watched security cam just started for no reason. OMG help

 

This happened to me quite a few times but I believe it stopped after the door latch recall.
