2019 Mercedes g63 ..Value???
Hi All,
I have a new g63 showing up within the year….supply chain willing…lol. In any case, I live in SoCal (land of how much is it? Answer…How much do you have! Lol) and trying to determine realistic selling price . I have a well equipped 2019 g63….Plat Magno with black interior, 22 inch wheels , night package….with 13K miles….
Dealers here are doing what they do here…lie and lie so more …so my question to this group is; What is private party price and dealer trade-in price?
Cheers

Call around to other dealerships, especially outside of your local area and see what they are willing to pay outright. You could also try bringatrailer or carsandbids as a possible venue to sell.

Go on Autotrader and CarGurus, find 3-4 vehicles that meet your year and mileage, average the price, and then take $10-15k off of that. You’ve got your trade-in price.
You can probably get more as private party, but I wouldn’t want strangers test driving my car or giving me checks for $200k. Worth it IMO to drop it off at the dealership and let them deal with all the DMV paperwork and you walk away with a check on the spot (that you know is legit).
Also, auto brokers (non-MB Dealerships) also tend to pay more, so I’d search Newport and Costa Mesa for some of those exotic resellers and ask for a quote. You’ll need the title in hand for most of them given DMV backlogs right now.
Edit - FWIW, when I sold my 2016 last year I got offers for $60k, $65k, and $70k from the 3 local dealerships. Got $81,500 from one of the guys who called me after doing the KBB Instant Offer.

I’m thinking it’s value today is $195k at dealer —
My new one may never arrive so …that’s my hesitation.
I appreciate your help—
cheers

No prob. Again, try KBB Instant Offer. I have to imagine its got a good number of brokers in SoCal on the other end of it - that’s where my broker came from. Local rep met me at the bank, I deposited the Cashiers Check, and then handed over the keys.

Are any dealers willing to sell these trucks on consignment yet? I know that’s a popular option with Ferraris and Lambos. But with the market value of a new G63 higher than a Huracan maybe some enterprising dealers will start offering it?

I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t leave a vehicle on consignment. If it’s damaged or wrecked, it will go against your insurance.
You can list it with a broker and keep possession of your vehicle.
