'21 Values Rising Fast
Not even 2022 yet and values in Canada are already around $315k - $345k for used 2021s.
I can't even imagine prices in 2022. This is insane and I'm loving it!
But to be completely honest, I always thought the G63 was undervalued to begin with. There is NO reason for it not to be on par with the Urus.

Wow...how exhausting reading through so many judgmental posts. I suppose its just humane nature to presume to understand why one does what one does based upon their own financial situations. Whether you paid msrp or $150k over to acquire what you desired, why is that anyone's business? I'm an old guy who has experienced the gamut of personalities in business for far to many years. In the end its just about pushing that start button, putting it sport+ and loving the experience. To bad forums can't just be about sharing those experiences without the bs.

This place is a joke.
When the music stops you'd better be sitting down in a chair.
Not hating on G-wagons, but it seems like the only people who think they are great are the ones who can afford them. Maybe it's some kind of 1-percenter d#ck swinging contest or something. They do nothing for me, at all. But if you've got the money and are enjoying it, why not.

It will be interesting to see how fast the prices come down once production on G63s & G550s for the US/Canada starts up again.
Love that people keep on talking about how there are no more V8 Mercedes coming to the US ever again yet MBUSA just announced the new SL with just 2 different V8 variants (SL55 & SL63).
Yeah I think it is being driven by people who have done well in the market along with lower spending on entertainment/travel/etc., people have money burning holes in their pockets. Its crazy to me that people are paying over MSRP for used (!!) Jeep Wranglers when you can order a brand new one for below invoice (except for the V8, those are MSRP). I guess people just want it now and don't want to wait a few weeks.
I saw that same thing when I ordered my G63 in July 2019, the dealer sold it to me for MSRP (arrived in Nov 2019) but if I wanted the one they had on the lot there was a markup.

Great another useless thread on G values. There is nothing other than rumors that the V8 won't return and if it comes back with electric assist even better.

Yes, talk to the finance guys at your dealership to hear the opposite end of the spectrum. Folks trading in cars rolling in the negative equity and paying ADM's, only to get approved at credit unions at who knows what rate just to have a "G63" You'll often see a few repos come through Manheim.

Don't get me wrong I love my G63 and paid a 10k ADM back in April, but ain't no way I'm paying close to 300k.
Got lucky that I bought mine before these HUGE ADMs, at the time 15-25k was a lot, now that average is 75-100k which is ridiculous if you ask me, but hey it's your money.

Not sure why people here have to guess and hate why people buy these cars and pay over MSRP. Maybe they have the money, maybe they don't want to wait and wait and wait......until they are not here to enjoy finer things in life.
Some people have the money to waste if you call it that, whatever it is, it's a personal choice and the person with the cash can do whatever the hell they want with it.
Love life people.

When the music stops I'll be riding in my G pumping my own tunes.
Clearly there is a huge demand for these cars, from those who can AND can't afford them, otherwise prices wouldn't be going up.
Unlike most modern day Mercs, the appeal of the G wagon isn't only measured by numbers / performance. I don't think there is another model that delivers anywhere near as much character and smile factor. Apparently you CAN buy happiness, and it costs approx. MSRP + $100k+ currently

I am just a couple weeks away from the "1 year no export agreement" expiring on my '21 G63 and although the prospect of making a nice profit on it is pretty cool, I am hard pressed to find anything I want more. Maybe a Ferrari GTC4Lusso might be the next move. I could use the huge G63 profit to offset the huge hit on the Ferrari. But in the vein of this thread, I wonder if the market is at its peak, or if the used values will continue to increase after they stop making the '21s.

When did I mention anything about the V8 not returning is the fuel for these price increases? There is no production in 2022 which is likely causing this.

Why are you reading it and posting in it then if it is "useless"? Personally, I like value threads. I think others do as well. You should probably avoid such threads if they stress you out so much.

No stress. What's the point, make folks feel good their ADM was justified or the wannabe flippers can see what they stand to make. OP in previous posts was very concerned with ADM's and the bubble bursting now is pro high G63 prices undervalued etc, who cares.

I’m assuming you don’t have a G63, right? Kinda awkward that you’re sitting here trying to push a narrative that those that paid ADM are stupid and it will all crash down when most of those that paid ADM don’t really care.. seems odd.

Right and since you’re a detective, go find my posts as to why I went against my own concerns.

My 4th one will be built in December at MSRP, Arabian Grey G63. '15 G63, '19 Edition 1 sold it with 53k miles (I put 30k of those on.). '20 G63 with 30k miles traded last month on the incoming '21. Everybody has their opinion as to what one should pay, never claimed anyone was stupid for that. I for one think they are mass-produced in relation to the last-gen and this isn't a 992 GT3 situation where these ADM's/current pricing are warranted, will be interesting to see how it plays out.
No hard feelings here.. we're all here cause we love the truck. Whether the price justifies it or not, that's subjective and so far it's showing that it can literally go for whatever and buyers will still line up. Next year will be interesting.

To stay somewhat on topic. Auction is $270k's for low mileage '21 63's. What's the gap for the secondary retailer and what part of the world are these things commanding the most premium?
