that's a 9.4% starting price increase here in canada for a G63...
trail package was always an option on the G63..looks like it's gone for the 2022 (based just on the order guides)

13% increase for G550 / 9.5% for G63. CDN pricing. I think the G550 increase is higher (percentage wise) because it now includes some extra packages in Canada as standard. Considering our inflationary environment and the current ADM on these trucks, I think this is actually pretty good (less of an increase than I was expecting). We'll see what they do for US market.

Soo does this mean there will be a 2022 production?
I thought no 2022 was being delivered cause of the V8 problems...
i’m on the list for a 2023. Thought i was gonna have a 2024

No they aren't although I'm sure there are aftermarket options, but I think it'd be a shame to run one on a G.
To be honest I've only seen sub $45k vehicles running the lighted MB emblem. People who are happy they can just afford to get into a Mercedes and want the world to know about it day and night.

I haven't seen one with the lighted emblem either, I was just asking.. So what you're saying is that it would be ghetto to put a lighted MB emblem on a GWagen? I have see the GWagen with headlights on day and night does that count as being a shame? Having the flexibility to build a vehicle, a Mercedes GWagen, with what you want or like is because your taste is not the same as everyone else. It's called personal preference. Sure there are modified GWagens I've seen that I don't like but I don't call it a shame. Very caught off guard with YOU saying that. I really value the knowledge and explanations I've read in your previous post and I have used when speaking to my salesman. Just throwed off right now. No disrespect, just didn't seem like you today.

Not meant to be a personal attack but just my thoughts.
A quick review of the order guide shows that this is not a factory option.
Headlights are safety features that every car has. Lights behind the Mercedes’ logo only serves one purpose.
I am just saying the G stands on its own and doesn’t need gimmicks to get attention.
Yes people should customize their G as they see fit. I have read through this forum ever since the 2019 came out and I have yet to see a forum member with a lighted MB logo. Likely a good reason for that.

Not joining the argument if having or not having is a good idea but I just want to link this thread here that I was reminded of on the discussion of the illuminated star and how other G wagen owners feel about such option: https://mbworld.org/forums/g-class-w...-emblem-g.html

Ok about the lighted emblem.
As I said before your knowledge sharing really helped me deal with my salesman. Today out of the blue, he called me and told me my truck had a build date of the last 10 days of June! Needless to say I'm bouncing off the walls!! I never thought today would ever arrive. I remembered reading your post that if they don't give you a PO# what they say means nothing (or something like that). The very next thing out of my mouth was, ' so do you have a PO#?' He stumbled a little surprised I asked, he gave me the PO#. I knew things were moving in the right direction. Had I not followed you and made notes of your input I would not have known to ask for the PO#. Thank you. And thanks for your opinion on the emblem light.

After some nice person posted the 2022 Order guide I went to the dealership on 2/10/2022 and made changes. There were a couple of things that changed and I authorized it. I also confirmed with him that the changes I made were as ordered. I have a printed copy of the new build. Thanks. And keep doing what you do.
