Renegotiate ADM on 2022 G550?

I have an order in for a 2022 G550 and with the recent market (BaT and CnB) I’m thinking I agreed to an adm that is too high. Vehicle has already been produced. Is anyone else in the same boat or has anyone renegotiated upon delivery?

Interesting dilemma -- how would you feel if market prices were surging and the dealer wanted to negotiate the price up?

Yup and that’s basically what’s been happening for the past 6-12 months or so.

Dealer probably recognizes it too and if you walk they may not make as much ADM from the next buyer. You can ask but I bet they will assume you are emotionally invested and will tell you no.

You can of course ask for a discount but if you paid a non-refundable deposit then you will lose your deposit if you walk away.

Honor the deal you agreed to. We have been pounding the table for dealers to do such, it is the same for buyers too. my .02

How much over MSRP did you agree to?

By "agreed" to did you sign a purchase order for the vehicle with the ADM included? If so I think the odds are slim to none you can renegotiate the price. You can ask though. Never hurts to ask. If you are a good customer the dealer might agree to a lower price. But then I would pity those poor souls in Hell who would be freezing...

If you have nothing in writing then the negotiation starts when the vehicle arrives and you inspect the vehicle to make sure it is as you ordered and has no damage.

In this case remember price is not fact only an opinion. The dealer thinks the vehicle is worth its MSRP plus some dealer markup but you are entitled to your own opinion one that would likely differ from that of the dealer.

I always hear stories of dealers marking up higher after verbal agreement before vehicle shows. I say negotiate the best you you can get

Agree, but in the current market for automobiles (any brand) buyers aren't in a particularly advantageous bargaining position.

You might’ve heard it before but if you follow MMR, Prices are quickly dropping and so is the stock market. Money isn’t cheap anymore.
