I’m in the same boat (pun intended). Was told that the car was produced late July, but still no movement.

Do you think they have an embargo till a certain date? Any idea what the holdup is?

 

I’m assuming that or they are choosing to give them MY2023. When I bought my MY2021 G63 it was stuck at port for a while for mbusa to certify them because it was one of the first 21s

 

No they are MY22 cars. Delay probably due to chip shortage.

 

It is done not waiting for chip. Per my dealer since 8/31 at least

 

I doubt that. 62 cars in VPC inventory. 11 on ships. If your car hasn't moved then it needs something.

I have one on order in Canada, and with the USD/CAD conversion, plus the nice luxury tax just introduced, it pushes the truck over $500k BEFORE tax!!!

I'm seriously shocked.

 

I'm in this boat. Had hoped to turn the 4x4 into my adventure rig and planned to head straight to Moab from the dealer. But at ~$400k, that might be a pipe dream. Still excited to be getting one.

Still expecting to get one. Will still pay the absurdly high MSRP. But, now I'm forced to re-think what I do with it.

Sounds crazy, but I was expecting something in the $260-$275k fully loaded range.

No one is going to off-road it at this point.

I loved off-roading my G550 4x4 back in the day.

Pricing is set so all the flippers stay on the sideline. MB wants the money in house for the factory and dealers. I suspect we’ll start seeing them for sale pre-owned with delivery miles from $795,995 to $995,995 on the secondary market. Keep in mind, at the end, there is only 300 being produced.

Agreed. That’s a crazy price (not including ADM) for what is basically just a lifted G. Wouldn’t it be cheaper to aftermarket lift a G63 instead?
