Congrats!!! Very beautiful setup. Appreciate the detailed writeup. Question: Does the new US G63 have the engine sound electronically piped in - I think it's called the "G-Roar" or something like that? I know the European G63 does.
Ummm, Nooooo! The roar is 100% real. It is my understanding that the electronic interior engine sound aka G-ROAR is only deployed to the G580 EV.
It's been 5 days and 250 miles and here are my 1st impressions on the 2025 vs my 2022 G63.
1- Quieter inside
2- Louder outside
3- Handles better on curves (With the AMG Performance package)
4- MBUX is easier to use with touch display and immediate switching to and from CarPlay and sound system quality is superior.
5- Feels more powerful and responsive and less effort needed to accelerate from standstill although I am still in break in period so can't stress it yet.
6- 10% better fuel economy (From 15 MPG to 16.5 MPG for same trip)
7- LKA assist is now what it should be and Distronic plus cruise control follows the lanes nicely although too quick to alarm if hand off the wheel
8- Auto Engine stop/start feels smooth and effortless
9- Don't like the touch volume control on the steering wheel

Mine came with 22” Goodyear tires with the performance package. I don’t know if everyone received the Goodyear tires. One other person said theirs came with Goodyear tires as well. I would rather have Michelin tires. My other 2 came with Perelli tires.

Yes, Tire Rack had a 22” Michelin all season tires in the exact size for the G 63. I haven’t looked into in a while, they didn’t have them when I had my 21, but did when I had my 24. I’m with you, I would rather have Michelin tires.
I’m curious to see what the US Market tires are for the 20” Offroad Package PRO wheels are. So far, I’ve only seen a couple of those for sale and they both sold before the dealers could upload real photos onto the internet.

If there's an approved 22 Michelin summer tire those will be next for me. Dealer just replaced all 4 tires and gave me the Pirelli Scorpion
I agree with all of those. Fantastic color. Love it.. One suggestion. The EZ pass is distracting the look of the car. Have you ever considered painting it black and then sticking it to the shield. I do that in all my cars and it almost disappears with black spray paint.
