For the US members here: have your order banks opened yet for G63? Im assuming since the 2025 DOG hasn't been released yet, the answer is no?
Last I heard from my SA, orders will probably start in July/Aug for Dec production for Canadians.
Also excited to see reviews of the 25 G63 being driven. My only wish is for it to sound like the pre-facelift with its glorious rumble.

At 3:59 into the video, a MB dealer sales person indicates the dealer makes 12% on a G Wagon when selling it at MSRP.
Just imagine if you could order direct from the manufacturer and eliminate the 12%. - $24,000, plus tax, eliminated on a $200K G63.
The dealerships are still killing it at MSRP.

12% wouldn’t call that a killing. We all want to save a buck, but you still have other models that sell at a loss, and I’m sure the average is single digit. By the way I’m no friend of the dealer as we should all be able to go direct minus the middle man.

Going direct doesn’t equal savings. Just look at Tesla as an example… If MB was able to sell direct we would still be paying sticker and the only difference is that they would be making 100% profit.

There is the agency model in Australia but that is actually opposite of savings.

Thanks to Hodog16’s excellent mention, spent some time playing around with the DE configurator looking at various colors, wheels, packages, etc.
Beyond what Hodog16 mentioned, two other options stood out. In Germany, AMG Active Ride Control as a standalone option is 4.522,00 € and the newly offered Manufaktur Full Leather Package is 19.040,00 € (ouch). It will be really interesting to see how U.S. pricing compares.

Thoughts on what might happen with the pre facelift ones in terms of value? Worth waiting?

Fully optioned out on the DE configurator with the leather package comes out to 255,000 euros. In the US with the dealer markups, might cost around $300k. Is that worth for a G wagon? Even without the Manufaktur Full Leather Package, we're in the $250k range. Im wondering if its worth the trade for me?

I’d say wait and that just me as they all look the same, and MBUX for me is no big deal. I drive and turn on the radio and not really into all the fancy electronics just more sh+T to break. Still loving my 2021 the last before the crazy price increases. Think MSRP base back then was like 157k, she’s been good to me.

I think it’ll be fine especially newer ones with lower miles. The G550s should hold as they are still V8s. I suppose some people won’t want the hybrid in the G63 which will help older models.
As much as I love G’s I wouldn’t pay $300k for one or really $250k either. We are getting closer and closer to that range though.

Yea agreed. Its such a good vehicle but $250k - $300k is bonkers. Its like entering Lambo category (cant compare obvsly). So I guess might be worth the wait. Also the tech upgrade and center console changes (track pad area) are nice but not having the clock really changes the feel of it. We'll have to see it in person to really tell but in pictures, it feels just okay.

Embargo lifted on 2025 G driving impressions
Journalists and reviewers who recently drove the 2025 G-Class models have published their driving impressions as the embargo was lifted an hour ago.
Here are a handful of reviews:
The Autogefuhl one is extensive and includes snippets of drives in the G500/550, G63, and G580. Thomas (chief reviewer for the channel) mentioned wind noise was noticeably lower than the pre-facelift model, but not as quiet as a GLE, GLS, or GLC. Really enjoyed that review and am going through the others to hear the reviewers’ thoughts.

Im hyped about the illuminated vents.
but the engine sound doesnt seem as good as prefacelift. He said it was louder, but it seems more hollow than my 22.
still on the list to get one though ha

If there is an Autonation MB Dealer near you check with them since they are at MSRP in central FL but you have to get on the waitlist, which is currently very long - about 2 years or more, depending on how many they build. G63s have the most interest followed by the G550 and lastly, the G580.
