2025 G63
Im certain MB would not mess with the "kachunk" sound the doors/locking mechanism make; but Im very curious how they were able to make it keyless entry. I always assumed the reason the G didn't have keyless entry to begin was due to possibly losing this sound and the mechanical feel of the locks.
I guess we'll find out tomorrow, super excited!

But Jeep doors don't feel or sound anything like the G's doors. They are removable tbf so they can only be so solid.
If that is going to be the result, then honestly Id rather forgo keyless entry and keep the vault like sounds and feel.

Outside is very subtle which is good. I am top of list to get one but this isnt super exciting... not a fan of carbon fiber spare tire cover, like keyless, front looks a bit goofy, not a fan of interior outside of steering wheel and mbux... not sure why they would remove the IWC watch for electric one... thats just to save on cost. And taking design direction from A class is not good either... the gap between vent buttons and cup holder is odd. Overall, its mixed bag. Rims are great. Will i get one, yes... do i want to rush and sell by 2022? Not sure
Front grill looks a bit more retro which I like but tbh I still prefer the “older” design as I think it looks more modern and aggressive. All the other updates like keyless entry, wireless CarPlay and charging are welcomed and overdue. My only real gripe is MBUX. Was hoping they would go straight to MB.OS as the interface in MBUX already looks outdated.
Very underwhelming. Barely any noticeable exterior difference to 99.9% of people (except for us G Wagon freaks lol). Nothing like the big update with massive differences between the 2013-2018 and 2019-2024 G Wagon models. I will be in no rush to update from my 2021 G63. I'm actually glad I just got the extended warranty for 7 years/100k miles because I think I'll keep it for a couple more years and then either get a new G63 or perhaps switch to a Cullinan.
For what it's worth, you should be able to view digital one in this new MBUX version.

i like the interior of my 22 better... this isnt a situation where "old" owners dont want to upgrade... i will get one but may push myself into an allocation next year... seeing this version, no rush to get one...
