2025 G63

Very underwhelming. Barely any noticeable exterior difference to 99.9% of people (except for us G Wagon freaks lol). Nothing like the big update with massive differences between the 2013-2018 and 2019-2024 G Wagon models. I will be in no rush to update from my 2021 G63. I'm actually glad I just got the extended warranty for 7 years/100k miles because I think I'll keep it for a couple more years and then either get a new G63 or perhaps switch to a Cullinan.

Happy with the refresh, although many of us owners who are on their 2nd, or 3rd W463 G63's like me will be happy to see values continue to stay strong, and with time many will cycle out their current trucks for the refresh.
Pretty happy with my current 24 Arabian Gray truck knowing its the last full gas on dual motor G. Im at the top of my dealerships list for a 25 truck and hoping it'll make sense to cycle this one out for the new. Wouldn't call it much of an upgrade though...

Okay after watching about 4 videos here’s what I like:
-Upgraded Burmester stereo with additional speakers in ceiling
-Keyless Go
-Wireless CarPlay
-Passenger grab handle with manufaktur interior now matches trim instead of being generic grey trim (at least for AMG)
-AMG gas cover
-Black running boards and exhaust
-New camera location in front means G550 likely will have surround cameras now in US
-That new off road package with roof rack and full size exposed tire looks tough! They probably included this since they are having so many issues with 4x4
-Sounds like new steering wheel can have AMG controls and heated steering wheel
All in all I’m ready for a 2025 allocation. I think resale will be strong enough to keep changing each year for a few more years at least.

Separately I won't be surprised if the depreciation on the electric G580 will be high. Seems like all nice EVs depreciate much much more than their gas counterparts.

The version of MBUX included here is the same one as in the s class, c class, electric models, but not as new as the new E class. Agree that's a bit sad to see, but historically, the G has always been a bit behind on infotainment so not surprised.

Everyone is noticing something different, which is why I love this forum. The lack of the IWC clock is sad but Im glad the physical buttons were retained for the most used functions. Above all, long live the V8 for the G63!
Another thing that stood out to me is finally the G gets the same leather and stitched center portion of the steering wheel as the S class. The plastic one on the pre-facelift belongs in the A class.

i am really torn... torn torn torn. My arabian grey has an msrp of 215k so highly optioned... tough decision..
pluses:
keyless
more interior carbon
better steering wheel
better sound system
mbux
negatives:
front looks odd
A Class interior center console
no IWC watch.
not latest mbux in my 24 amg gt
no change in performance
dont care items:
black running boards
carbon spare tire cover
Black exhaust tips... i like silver exhaust tips
hmmm. I am thinking of just telling them to push me out for a deliver around YE 2025 so a later allocation... hope that is possible ?
no need to rush to get one

Curious what everyone thinks the ADM will be on a 2025 G63? Will we go back to 2020 when dealers were asking anywhere from 75 - 150k over sticker?
Also, should we expect ADMs for 2024 models to go down now that the 2025 specs have been released? I spoke with 2 Texas dealers today still wanting high ADMs on 2024s.

Will be interesting to see if the value of the 2019-2024 G550s go up since they are the last V8s…

I’m seeing criticism regarding the exterior but wouldn’t dramatic changes result in the community revolting and flipping tables?
Personally, this update address all of my nitpicks with the previous generation. This is a perfect (minor) evolution for me, nearly indistinguishable.

Additional G63 previews
Really enjoyed seeing the various previews posted today for the 2025 G! Here are a couple of others which I think did a good job of highlighting the key changes.
