That's really odd to me that *with* carbon package, you can't black out the silver elements of the car which flies in the face of the whole point of the carbon pack

As for bull bar, I personally love it on these rigs and I think you could have deleted it for the last gen, but current gen has the front facing camera literally on the bull bar which I interpret as you can't remove for US spec..

I haven’t seen anyone post a build sheet with the Carbon Package for the exact same reasons you didn’t order it and I probably won’t either.

I’m in Atlanta and one of our dealerships here sells a ton of wild spec G63’s. I’m going to speak with a them and see if they can assist with any guidance before I finalize this and I’ll post up their feedback as soon as I can.

I’m also surprised there isn’t a ceramic brake option considering there’s a performance pack option.
you’re welcome, same here, I would have ordered the ceramic brakes if it was an option, the pads cover the wheels in brake dust. I had the carbon brakes on my GT3.

My thoughts exactly with the Carbon Package.. who will order an 8K aggressive appearance package and leave the silver elements on the truck.

From the reviews I’ve seen the camera is integrated into the trim on the center air intake on the bumper. These are euro spec vehicles so it may be moved onto the bull bars for the US vehicles due to interference with the cameras view

it is pretty simple to black out the elements you want to. My detailer does that work. If you prefer carbon would just go for it and have what you want blacked out once you get the truck.

Yeah totally, agreed there are simple fixes there but some are picky on factory spec (like myself).. for my builds I really like the silver elements anyways

2025 G63 Mats

If you spec VGO rubber mats, do you still get the standard AMG carpet mats?

Why is there a separate D43 “All Season Mats” code?

Thanks

Yes you do get the standard AMG carpet mats. VGO include the trunk rubber mat while D43 does not include the trunk

It’s official, MBUSA just released the 2025 G63 2 months ahead of dealer expectations so there will be no delay at the ports when the cars en route arrive.

Where are you located? The Arc Defender was supposed to leave to Baltimore yesterday but it had issues and went to Poland for repairs. There is one more ship that's at port now that's heading to Baltimore this coming week I believe.

I don’t think they were shipping them with the strike looming. I don’t know if the port is backed up. I have my 24 to drive, but would like to have it.

This is the exact lot where our G's wait in Graz once built to be sent to the ports and loaded onto the shipping vessels You can see the military variants in green and the all white wrapped ones were the now prior gen 4x4s

Had the pleasure of doing a VIP experience with the G Class Experience center there late last year with my father, was incredible!

That's awesome. Congrats for the visit. So are the facilities in Graz controlled by Mercedes/AMG or Magna Steyr? Is the visit worth the trip?

Definitely worth the trip, but it is hard to make happen. Humbly I had to use a Benz AG contact of mine, but if you can find availability online - book the G Experience Center, highly highly encouraged. The G Center is controlled by Benz, where you have a track and crazy cool off road circuit, a warehouse showing all the ext/int color options and some history of the G, a dining area, and you'll see a whole host of different gen G's parked outside. You can see YouTube videos of this for sure. It's an amazing half-day immersion into just about everything G Class. The lot I'm not sure if Magna Steyr or Benz, but the factory itself is 1000% Magna Steyr. I was supposed to be able to see my 24 G on the production line but last minute something came up where that wasn't able to happen, gratefully they still gave us a tour of the factory, drive around the city in the Laundalet, and some other cool things.

Biggest takeaway from everything, is that there is Mercedes Benz, and then there is G Class, and they are two distinct things. The employees, town of Graz, everyone there lives breathes and eats G Class specifically. They like Mercedes, but love G Class!

The tosca (vessel name) departed this morning btw. If anyone's car is on that ship, the MB internal status should update to reflect that. The next ship after this one is Oct 24th I believe.

Much appreciate the insight. Prior to the pandemic, we used to spend a couple months per year in London and Europe. We are planning to resume that schedule, hopefully in 2025. We will definitely look into visiting the "G Center".

Btw, anyone ever noticed MB has a predilection for the alphabet letter "G"? AMG, G63, GLA, GLB, GLC, GLE, GLS, GT, Gullwing, Graz, etc... I'm definitely not a conspiracy theorist, but it did give me a chuckle when one of my daughters in college asked me that very question.
