This past weekend, I was having coffee with a mechanic friend who works for McLaren and told him about the mirror vibration issue. We went to my car and he examined the driver-side mirror and told me the cause was probably not the mirror housing but the light illuminator under the mirror casing (the one that illuminates with the flood light on the ground with the Mercedes or G logo when you open the door). After removing the illuminating light from its casing, he went to his truck and got some plain rubber cement. He then coated the flood light cover making contact with the casing with a thick layer of rubber cement before reattaching it. Guess what? The annoying vibrating noise is completely gone. The noise was NOT caused by mirror vibration as I had initially thought, but by the fitting of the flood/illuminating cover underneath instead. Since then, I've taken my G63 up to 75 mph and the mirror was completely silent. I'm so relieved as rattling sound was extremely bothersome to me. Sorry I didn't take any pictures as the fix was so quick and I was mystified as if I was watching a magician at work....
My McLaren friend saved me from the annoyance and dealing with MB dealership/mechanics who can never seem to identify the cause of most rattlings/noises with my previous Mercedes non-AMG63 models. For what it's worth, my McLaren friend told me that all McLarens and ultra high performance vehicles oftentimes have rattling interior noises and the trick of his trade is rubber cement will fix most of them once you're able to identify the cause/location. I'm picking up a bottle (extra large size) today and plan on leaving it in the mesh guard in my trunk.
Give it a try and good luck!

Definitely seems crazy. I still think the MY21 was/is the best valued G on the market. Granted they were probably underpriced at the time and MB has been making up for it the past few years.
I fully expect the 2025 G63, optioned with the performance package and Manufaktur color / interior to come in around $220k to $230k which is almost $100k more than I paid for my 2021 G550.

The G63 MSRP in the U.S. was indeed $183,000 for the 2024 model year. For the 2019 model year, the first for the W463A series, the G63 MSRP was $147,500. Thus the 2025 G550 MSRP is higher than the 2019 G63 MSRP in non-inflation adjusted dollars.

Got some good news that my 2025 G550 is slated for a July 10 build… I was very fortunate that my dealership just received their first 2025 G550 allocation which I presume was spec’d by MBUSA . Fortunately for me, I was happy with the way it was spec’d.. Arabian Grey, Black leather.. Hope to have it by August or early September..

Is the allocation already locked to any changes? Usually they give a month or so to make changes to the build.

I had previously given my dealer my specs.. options pretty much the same.. different color.. but I was perfectly fine with the Arabian Grey.. This allocation was given to my dealer by MBUSA “as is” and was locked… The one buyer in line ahead of me declined it and it fell to me.. I was very pleased to grab it…

2025 G63 Release Date
So i have placed an order for the g63 2025, the car has been built and is leaving the factory this week ( this is what is says on the order status update) . The dealer is telling me i should expect a delay to recieve the car because i will have to wait for the official release date, does anyone have any info on this date or anything ? He told me the same thing happened for other models, cars arrived but they couldn’t deliver it for a month until the release. This is for Europe by the way.
Please advise! Thanks

Mercedes does this all the time, sitting on cars until the release date. Nothing you can do until it shows up but awesome it’s already built.
Here in the US we have to wait for EPA certification so some model years the cars sit at port until it’s approved.

Thanks… It’s hard for me to get a feel from photos what it’s really going look like when I finally get it.. I have owned a number of grey cars in the past.. including right now.. and I have always liked them…so I imagine I’ll be very happy…
