Even that, yes. With how the markets are and real estate and just a general overview of everything slowing down, its incredible dealers are still in the mindset of playing hard to get. I hope they all receive the rude awakening they deserve soon.

I reiterated this to my dealer's GM today and he told me "People who buy 200K+ cars aren't concerned with the state of the economy."

I forgot he was nominated to be a lobbyist of g class owners in politics, apparently.

I'm more interested in using my g63 as a bargaining chip to get a fast/first allocation slot, but sure, shoot me a dm.

Our dealer in Colorado was an emphatic "no" on this when we requested. Where were you able to configure and substitute out the gold wheels? I'd like to take it to our dealer for the new order.

you can absolutely switch them. I did it. I. The order system, he needs to select the gold wheels first in order to add the performance package. Once performance package is added, he can change them.

Some of these dealers are idiots. They have a 12% margin on G’s (approx $27k profit) and then add a $15k markup. So they want to make $42k in profit on one sale but can’t be bothered to learn what they can order and how.

Sales management is definitely not on their toes. The process has been excruciating so far. So much simpler on our last G order in 2019 from different dealership.

Margins are sky high for the dealers. Additionally, Colorado dealers are asking 30k over sticker on 2025. Vastly over compensated.

Also echoing what others are saying that ordering was like throwing things at the wall and seeing what sticks (what the factory would accept to build). Good thing the online configurator will be up in 2026 for 25 models so I will know after I have the car what restrictions there are for which options/combinations lol.

Some of the newer G 500/ G 550 US market examples are June builds, so lead times could not be more than about 10 weeks on some of those.

 

Apologies if this question has already been asked but does anyone know when/if an online configurator will be available for the G550/G63? Vehicles are orderable and landing in dealerships but you still can't configure one online.

 

I don’t know about online, but any dealership can configure it. Only the G 550’s are showing up at the dealerships. G 63 won’t be available until the 4th quarter. I don’t think they’ve even built any for the USA yet.

 

The MB configurator is always WAY behind. I remember we build out my wife's GLS with the help of this forum about 3 months before they updated the configurator for that model. More-so it's interesting that they don't even have an MSRP for the G580 yet and expect those to arrive in Q4 as well. After the struggles MB has with the EQS/EQE, I guess they must feel good seeing people commit to orders without even knowing the price lol

 

Anyone know the answer to this one…trying to finalize my order.

The G63 order guide says you have to select one of the night packages (DE9 or DF4) to get the black running boards and exhaust. HOWEVER, all of the YouTube review videos of the 2025 G63 have the performance package but NO night package…and the trucks in the videos have the black running boards and exhaust.

So…does the performance pkg include black running boards and exhaust as well?? The order guide makes no reference…?

 

No, you have to order the black running boards and black exhaust tips as a stand alone option. I ordered the black chrome instead of the night package. My build is somewhere back on this thread.

Here’s another question for you! Any idea how this build is possible? It’s moonlight white magno…no night package…but has a magno black roof. And the magno finished bumper guard / bull bar.

The order guide indicates that you can only select the magno roof if you have selected DF4…but this car defies that logic

No idea, I was originally going with obsidian black, but they wanted me to pay $1200 to have the roof painted the same color. My first choice was hyper blue, but I was skeptical about the.magno paint. I just decided to go ahead and get the hyper blue. I was going to order the exterior carbon fiber package, but couldn’t get the dark chrome or the runningboards in black along with the exhaust tips, so I didn’t get the exterior carbon fiber package. Not sure what it was going to look like anyway, and I’d rather have the tire cover painted in the color of the vehicle. Some people said my option for the running boards and exhaust tips weren’t available, but my order was accepted and locked. They’re having parts shortages and it seems like options are constantly changing due to availability.
