Edit: looks the same to me. What product did you use?

The Best of Mercedes & AMG

Long story short; we negotiated as part of another purchase from them a 2025 build which they took our spec, deposit for the G. The car just came in and now the dealer is telling us that they cannot sell us the car citing a new guideline from MB on selling to us out of state. But this didn't stop the signing of the deal earlier; the build and deposit.
Anyone else know if they've implemented a selling block on any G deals for out of state/neighboring states?

I’ve never built a car with MB before, can anyone walk me through the next steps?
Im assuming it gets accepted by the factory and I get a build date, VIN, etc.
Is there anyway to track what’s going on? I saw in the other 2025 G63 build thread how to track once production is complete.

Your dealer should get a production week once your order is accepted.

As for the production dates, Mercedes calls it a production "decade" and it's the week the car is made, like October 2nd decade means the second week of October.
They typically quote delivery about a month after production.

Typically they want to sell to people who will service the car there.

So there is some truth to dealers not really wanting to sell out of state if they can help it, but I've seen it happen enough to know its allowed. Land Rover is notorious for this as bonuses are tied to how many cars are sold within region, but I dont' think Mercedes is as strict.

Regardless of policy, seems a little convenient that they’re just figuring this out now.
