The running boards disassemble very easily, the rubber strips slide off as do the end pieces.

Disassembly is as follows (for a 2025 G63 but assume 2019-2025 would be the same):

1: Remove plastic push pin fastener in the front fender well

2: Remove plastic push pin fastener and (1) trim bolt in rear fender wall

3: Remove all the bolts underneath running board, Leave the middle one in place until end so it doesn't fall on your head and you can control its removal, the boards aren't too heavy but are awkward, also wrap the muffler with something as not to scratch it.

The running board will come off as one complete assembly and now you can pull off the front and rear plastic pieces, then slide out the rubber strips (some have difficulty here but I think the newer the G the easier)

that's about all.

Thank you for all the information. I would have never ordered these until I read your results. I just hope they don't take 5 months to get here.
