Traded up my 2021 for a new 2025. They gave me $150k for the trade-in. I was pleasantly surprised.
Dark green olive Magno with Sage Grey interior and Light Brown zen wood.

VIDEO

Positives:

A personal design choice, but I love this new sage grey interior. The gwagon interior is always a little dark. So love the lightness and airiness.

Love the new center console, feels more roomy and luxurious.

Auto unlock of doors and even trunk is a game changer.

The audio is soooo soo much better. Louder, clearer bass. More enveloped sound. And dolby atmos is even better from apple music app.

LED vents, dunno why they aren't in the rear?

Less wind noise.

Feels more responsive and anecdotally steering seems better? But i have not floored it yet.

New animated door lights are dope.

Factory black steps and exhaust tips are good additions..

Love the Gold rims.

Dash cam is good quality.

manfakturer lettering on the grab handle in silver.

Proper LKA now.

Undecided:
Engine sound is a new change, seems more industrial sounding and less like a traditional truck.

Driving screen is a little confusing. And trying to see things like trip and tire pressure is a little convoluted. Gonna take some adjusting.

Negatives:

Backup camera too low and kinda makes me feel dizzy reversing. Gonna take a while to adjust. Same with front camera.

Wish they got rid of the gloss plastic on the door and center console buttons. Both should be metal.

Unpleasant odor. An unpleasant smell emanates from the carpet and foam underneath. My old g had this too but less intense. So seems to be a G thing. Anyone else experience?

Cannot work out how to connect to a data plan in the car? Only tether to phone.

good feedback. The unpleasant odor thing resonates with me the most, that's the thing that you cannot escape and for this much money that you've spent it's unreal that there's this odor I had the same issue with a BMW I bought and it just drove me insane to the point where I wanted to get rid of the car.

I think it is of-gassing from fire retardant/insulation foam underneath the carpet. Someone described it as Crayon like smell. And thats exactly what it smells like me.
I always hated the smell of Crayons as a kid!

Only solution ive read is to clean/air out or replace the foam.

Congrats and looks great! That interior really pops on the video.

To me a new G63 has a very distinct smell but not bothersome to me--is it different than what you experienced with the 2021?

Excited to hear about the improved stereo, that was one of my few gripes with the vehicle.

my 2021 had one owner for six months. It was like the same smell subdued. I had always thought the previous owner had spilt something. So i febreezed the hell out of the carpet.

yea same. You have to pull it down, it seems a little stiff.

It was either 24,000 or 26,000.

It looks like you have the new AMG Ride Control based on your red calipers? If so, can you compare the ride and handling vs your 21?

Beautiful G!

Thanks for the write up! I'm expecting delivery in a few weeks of my 25. I'm trading my 2019 with 41k mi. Did you pay a premium over MSRP?

Beautiful G!
Consider I have not floored it yet. But on tight corners and turns it is noticeably more stable with less sway.
It also seems to drive/steer differently than w464a. It handles like a car and less like a big truck. More nimble!

It also does not move around so much on acceleration like w464a did. The hood still rises up, but theres no sway to the sides and is more planted. If that makes sense. W464a could pull either left of right on acceleration and was rather unpredictable.

Im not sure on comfort mode whether it is any more ‘comfortable’.

That’s good to know. I refuse to floor it on the G because it goes sideways and I don’t want to be like those Mustangs leaving cars and coffee.

Im in Atlanta also. I ended up going out of state to where my family is orginally from to get my G. Everyone here wanted 20-30K over MSRP. Really frustrating to be honest.

Congrats on the truck. Love the interior! Mine is Monza Grey, should be here this week.

Please post pics! I have a Monza Grey order that locks very soon - still struggling to decide between MGM and Dark Olive Magno!

Will do. I went back and forth between the two also. I ordered it sight unseen so I'm hoping I like it.

Can't go wrong with either -- though I'm sure that's not sufficient consolation : ) I did finally see a Monza car in person the other day -- really beautiful color and I'm definitely leaning that way. Wish I could see the Dark Olive next to it. My dilemma is that I sort of like Olive better in most light except for the direct sun, where it sometimes looks "poop brown".

Thank you for posting these photos - that is a beautiful G63! Wow!

I really appreciated seeing the Light Brown Zen Wood Trim, as that is the same trim option I ordered in my 2025 G550 that is due to be delivered in early May. I chose Selenite Grey for the exterior and Tartufo Brown / Black for the interior. I love the look of that trim with your amazing exterior/interior color section, looks so good.

I did but I haven't taken delivery yet. The sideways acceleration was noted in my 2021 so I haven't floored a G63 since.

Sounds good! It's on a boat right now--should be at Brunswick 3/15, so my guess based on my 2023 timeline is delivery around 3/23 or so.
