That is absolutely gorgeous -- perfect build and tire choice. I love the BFG KO2s and KO3s - I put the latter on my 2025 G550.

I would have preferred K03 but they don’t come in E load rating (in this size). I am going to be towing and I was worried about exceeding light truck tire limits

I would love to do a slightly larger sidewall, but I don’t want to have to trim or do a lift. This size easily fits OEM specs

Also considering wheels. Obviously, I would keep the OEM wheels in storage. Mock up with actual tires

Wheels will be satin black vs gloss black (pictured)

Yes, that is one of the things I noticed about KO3s - no E load rating. I have the KO2s on my Land Cruiser for that reason, but won't be towing (much) with my G wagon. Oh, I think the 18" wheel is perfect on that G wagon, looks great. More tread is always better, but I don't think it's worth the efforts going to a smaller wheel. What is the package that included the roof rack, it's a slightly different Professional package than on the standard G wagon? EDIT - no I see it now.... I guess I meant to say I did not know that option was available on this edition.

it’s so hard to get accurate information on these. As far as I can tell the roof rack/ladder was only available on the agave green version.

Also missing in the US is the mudflaps. Those seem to be available on the European cars.

Thanks for the information. I added MB OEM rear mud flaps to mine, it was really easy and I am happy that I did. I think they would look great on your G wagon - especially that edition. I saw your photo with the other wheels and that looks great. While I am partial to black wheels and trim, I have to say your stock wheels just look fantastic. I love that they are vintage, makes it really special. If you decide to switch out the wheels, definitely want black and something that also looks vintage for sure. I have no idea what that would be, but really just classic and not too overstated. I have to say, your new G wagon is one of my favorites I have seen so far, and that color is just amazing.

Funny that the first time I saw your posted pic (with the OEM wheels shown) the first thing that popped into my mind is "this thing is begging for some black steelies", then you posted the mock up

The OEM wheels are the only things that really look out of place to me on an otherwise well executed retro vibe.

Great minds. This was really the only wheel choice for me because they do look like steelies. I also think black balances out the truck which had a top heavy appearance in my mind. Had to custom order wheels because the std spec is 18 x 9 ET25 which would have made the stance too aggressive. I wanted wheels tucked in a little

I can always put the stock wheels back on if I change my mind.

"STRONGER THEN 1980'S EDITION"......LOL

At least should have put little more effort on describing and spelling it correctly before trying to collect 50K Dealer Markup.

What offset did you use on the custom Roti wheels???

Do the mudflaps bolt up to something already in place? How are they installed?

If I recall, the wheel specs are 18 x 8 ET35. Most of the shops sell a 9" version with a 25 offset. The 9" ET25 would have been proud of the fenders.

Have not installed mud flaps yet but should be pretty straight forward. As I understand it, I might need to drill a couple of holes in the rear fender liner as the 2025 model is missing some of the required holes.

It's very cool. Such a quirky cool color, I'd call it glossy hearing aid. That's not an insult.

Thanks! It's richer than desert sand.... almost like a the color of a flan. I didn't see it in person before I bought it, just pictures/videos, but was pleasantly surprised and really love it!
