Beginning search on 19+ G550
Hi all!
Have a deposit for a 2025 G550 but looking to stay within a better budget and get a 2019 G550 or later. Main criteria are white/amg line/night package. Full PPF would be amazing.
I'm seeing quite a few for sale, for example 2019 G550's meeting this criteria with say less than 50k miles for under 110k. Looking at cars without accidents.
Is getting a non-CPO a deal-breaker? I'm assuming a lot are not CPO'd due to cost of the CPO process. Any issues to look out for on 2019's as the first model year of the redesign as opposed to other years? Any kinks that were worked out for example? I would do a PPI for sure.
I've driven my sister in laws 19 G550 with 60k miles and she's been pretty good with lack of problems.
Any other things i should look for?

Highly recommend a 21 model or newer. A few optional features became standard on the 21 model and it’s a great model year imo. Maybe I’m biased though because I have a 21. 60k miles later and it’s still a thing of beauty! Other then that try to get CPO as they typically come with a limited warranty and if you plan to keep it long term consider purchasing an extended warranty. Good luck and enjoy the hunt!

We typically keep our cars a very long time. There is a 19 at eurocars in germantown not too far from you that caught my eye. I will check on differences between 19 and up.

2020 G550
I have a 2020 G550 with ~23k miles that I'd consider selling. White/amg line/night package. Exclusive Interior package with the diamond stitching in black. Car is mint. How can I contact you directly with more info? Also used to have a 718 spyder, you have good taste in cars

You described my car! I love our 2019 G550 in white, amg line and night package. Got it as a CPO. It was going to be about $8k to extend the CPO 2 more years with unlimited miles. We planned to not daily it as much as we did the first year so passed on it. This one isn't white, but great color combo with great love these wheels.

Just as a data point, I bought a CPO 2021 G550 in February with 17k miles. It had 1 year of factory warranty left, and then 1 additional year of CPO. I've put 6k miles on it already and have really enjoyed it with zero issues so far. I was trying to find one that was not black, didn't have magno paint, and did not have the AMG line, Night package, or exclusive interior package; this was much harder than I thought it would be as so many were black and had the AMG Line package. I also wanted either 18" or 19" wheels, which made the search even harder. I looked at quite a few CPOs, and a few non-CPOs, but finally found one that fit the bill and it happened to be white. There was a wide range of condition of CPOs; some were pretty rough cosmetically, and then the one I ended up with looked literally like brand new.
We use it mainly for road-trips and light to medium off-roading; we do enough off-roading that I had no interest in the G63. I've added a rack and mudflaps, and ditched the brush bar. I also just solved getting our bike rack on the back with a hitch extension from Harbor Freight. Next mods will be 18" wheels to accommodate all-terrain tires, and a different spare cover that is less "blingy". One gripe is how many thousands of bugs the front and windshield pick up on long road-trips... it's an extremely efficient bug killer.
