Any word if they’ve gotten rid of the stop start button for 26? I ordered mine Monday. Thanks!

Trump gave auto makers permission to get rid of them. My 21 G 63 had it, my 24 G 63 didn’t have it, my 25 G 63 has it.

Just ordered mine. Didn’t see anything on that but hope it’s gone.

Same, it’s annoying when I forget to turn it off.

Doubt MB would consider they still make the G63 for other markets that may or may not require this feature.

This would bother me more if it weren't for the fact that if you set your drive mode to Sport+ it's disabled by default anyway, downside being you have to manually adjust to that driving mode during each start up unless you could find someone to code it.

This is true. They got rid of it for 1 year, 2024. Was odd. I do have it back on my 2025

No changes except they raised the base price of the G 63 by $9500.

2026 G63
QUESTION:

I have a 26 G63 being built actually on October 27th (cant wait) but when we were going through the options two months ago, there was an option my salesman talked me into as I wasn't sure about it, but figured its something new, so I agreed to it, and it is the illuminated star on the front grill. Once my order was approved etc they confirmed the build sheet without delays and they still have the illuminated star logo as confirmed, and I have searched the entire web to see one from factory but haven't yet. I assume this is a new option for 2026 model and it does NOT affect the drivers assistance or radar--who knows if it will actually come this way but wanted to see if anyone else saw this as an option when they were building. My fear was that it would be "tacky" but I think it makes it different and hopefully it comes out clean, otherwise I will have to find a way to replace or remove it :P

apparently now you can have it with driver assistance

historically people would shame drivers, cos the illuminated star meant you couldnt afford the assistance package. But now you can have both.

i would say it is pretty unique on the G. I’ve lived in both LA and ATL where g63’s are everywhere…. And ive never seen an illuminated star.

You can always change it out if you dont like it.
