MY25 G63 cabin rattle noise
Hi All,

had my 25 G63 for several months now and loved it. Just one minor compliant about the interior cabin rattle on rough roads. It’s not major but I could hear some minor rattling coming from around the driver side door/window area. I suspect it might the rubbing of window and the rubber sill around it but can not be sure.

Anyone experiencing similar rattling?

Hi ​​​@Michael Yang . I've been there and the fix is application of silicon grease. Here's a link to my experience with what seems to be the identical problem as yours. Hi Michael. I keep a small can of silicone paste lubricant in the garage because oddball squeaks pop up from time to time over the years. This silicone paste is clear and easy to apply. Amy had good luck with her dealer, and I'm sure you will too. That said, if you have a pretty good idea of where the rattle/squeak is coming from you could try applying some silicone paste to the area yourself.

Hi There,

Thanks a lot! It seems like silicone is the way to go. Ironically the noise disappeared today while I was driving, lol. Hopefully it doesn't come back after a few days!

Hi all,
It could also be the A pillar trim piece that covers the airbag. Both of my A pillars creak every now and then depending on the temperature and type of bumps or movement.

Hi, mine is from the driver side window area rather than the A pillar which seems to be fine.

Hi Amy, I have not yet bothered taking it into MB yet, it seems to come and go for some reason. I will probably wait until my first service and ask them to check it out.
