I might not grab 2027, if there are no additional options. Will wait for 2028

2026 is my 4th Gwagon, plus added more options over 2025. Work only with 1 dealership and trade back as well.
On the list for convertible G, looking forward to 2028 when order book is open ..

When you trade a car back in you should only be paying sales tax on the delta between the trade in price of the old car and the price of the new car. I think.

Not in California. Which is 25% of US G class sales. Full sales tax on new car regardless of trade-in.

Yes my math is simple—I paid x and dealer gave me y in trade. Take the difference and divide by months owned.

I actually didn’t take into account taxes saved but only looked at depreciation so the true cost is less!

In my state (NC) we save on tax for trade in and it’s only 3%, so when I upgraded to my 2026 I paid $300 in sales tax.

The main issue with my plan is Mercedes keeps raising MSRP for the same car.
