Lightbulb 2026 AMG G63 (W465) Order Timeline (Feb 2026 Production Date)

A quick question to see if anyone has experienced the VPC Baltimore to dealership, especially dealerships near the East Coast, and if you have a timeline on how long the VPC took and how long the trucking for you car took to finally arrive on dealer's lot. Thank you!

Also I just want to provide some info on my first custom build G63 and what the realistic timeline is in 2026. And I want to see if others have similar timelines with a Feb 2026 production date/month:

Nov 2025: Agreed on the final price and put down a deposit

Feb 19 2026: Production date

Feb 25 2026: invoice verification (production was finished)

Feb 26th 2026: Vehicle at port of departure

March 9th: checked with dealership and they haven’t gotten an update on the vessel assignment.

March 10th: loaded on the ship, dealership got updates with vessel name with an ETA on reaching port in Baltimore. (Tracked with 7-day trail MarineTraffic Essential subscription), stopped in Southampton, UK for roughly two days

March 13th: shipped crossed the English channel but started the cross Atlantic staging off the shore/EEA zone of Spain.

March 16th-17th: after a painful three-day wait, the ship finally started its cross-Atlantic voyage at 16 knots, with a stop at Halifax CA first.

March 27th: Arrived at Halifax port, stayed for roughly 8 - 10 hours for offloading and started its journey to Port of Baltimore.

March 29th: The vessel arrived at Port of Baltimore around 11 am and started off-loading and this is what I have so far.

VPC Baltimore takes 1-2 weeks. You should except your G at the dealership week of April 13th.

This was also the timing of mine in 2025.It did take about 4 day via transit from Baltimore VPC to a dealership outside Boston, MA.

Very close! I am in Annapolis, MD a good bit and take the train to Baltimore, MD when I do, so I wish I could pick up mine directly from the VPC. HAHAHA!

Once it clears VPC in Baltimore, sometimes it does take a week or so to be assigned a transport.... I am sending you good energy that it will clear quickly and get to your dealership really fast!!!!

HAHA! I also wish I could just drive all they way there from Philly and pick it up!

Thank you!! The salesperson called me the other day and told me they will send a truck to pick it up from the VPC so hopefully that means skipping waiting for trucking time. But we shall see.

April 6: Still shows vehicle on vessel on NetStar but the vessel has left Port of Baltimore. I know there is like 12-48 or even 72 hours of delay but come on... Hopefully its just waiting to go through the VPC and the system will be updated soon!

I know it's super frustrating, but that also happened to me... It looked like my vehicle was still on the vessel, but it had already left the Port of Baltimore heading to Brunswick, GA. I then got a text from the dealership saying it passed VPC in Baltimore and was waiting on a transport carrier. You must be getting so excited, hope it's soon!!! I do think next week should be your delivery - fingers crossed.

Thanks for the positive reply! My dealership did tell me that they are going to pick it up since its just an hour drive or so from VA. I think right now just a long wait for a status update from VPC and the dealership will send a flatbed over. Hopefully!!

That will definitely save some time if the dealership goes to the VPC and picks it up. I know sometimes it takes a few days for a transport truck to be assigned. Please keep us posted!!!

I am still in the early stages of my waiting journey, as my build date is not until May 11th for my 2027 order. That's OK, I am weird, I like the waiting and process around the build, transport, VPC, and delivery. I guess I am also not in a big hurry, though it would be nice to get it before Fall comes.

Yeah for sure! That's so funny! I'm terrible at waiting on things. The anticipation for this car is killing me!

I hear you, it can be exciting - especially if you don't currently have a G wagon. I am a bit excited since this is my first G63 AMG, as I have a 2025 G550 now.

With your February build, it's pretty good that it's almost to the dealership, it's amazing how fast that part goes, yet feels so long.

Yeah we are very excited for our first ever G Wagon! And yes, it feels very long! But I checked the calendar, only 7 business days passed with Easter in between, and its been the longest 7 business day ever haha!
Hope I hear some good updates. My salesperson has been updating me every morning and checking with his inventory manager. Wish there a way to see what's going on at the VPC.

Well will you look at that! I just got a photo from the salesperson that the car has completed VPC and the window sticker has been printed. He said they are just waiting for the ok from the port for pickup! Crazy they don't have any updates and suddenly 4 updates in NetStar, SMH! haha!
