Hi all - ordered a G63 today. Would love any feedback on my build, my SA seemed to struggle a little bit converting my build from MBUSA.com to the internal system so I just want to make sure that everything transferred over correctly.
Currently have a Cayenne Turbo with Cohiba leather and thought saddle would be similar, but debating switching to espresso as a darker brown might be nice. Really want to make sure I’ve got the diamond stitching on the seats and leather on the dash/door, as well as the new suspension. My build sheet says matte carbon fiber but the online build just said carbon fiber, does anyone have photos of either they can share?
Let me know if there’s anything I’m missing that’s a must have. I thought about the cherry trunk inlay but worried it would get scratched to hell. Thanks!
Hi @shapiros -- Congratulations on ordering your G63! Your build sounds terrific and you put together a wonderful spec.
In comparing your screenshots and build sheet, you definitely have the diamond stitching on the seats and leather seat on the dash and doors via the Manufaktur Interior Package Plus. The AMG Performance Package gets you the AMG Active Ride Control suspension, which first became available for the 2025 model year, so you are set there, too.
The one discrepancy I noticed is the carbon fiber trim. The AMG Matte Carbon Fiber Trim, option code VA7, is a new option for the 2027 model year. The (non-matte) AMG Carbon Fiber Trim is a different option code, ZG6. Not sure which you would prefer but wanted to mention it.
Otherwise your G looks well optioned. Hope this helps a bit and please be sure to post photos after you take delivery!
Edited to add: Forgot to mention that the build configurator on MBUSA.com has not been updated for the 2027 model year yet, so the only carbon fiber trim a person can select there is ZG6. I have not seen a larger photo of the new matte carbon fiber, but a small picture is shown on the Trims page of the 2027 Order Guide helpfully shared by GoSaints9: https://mbworld.org/forums/g-class-w...ml#post9274091

Congratulations! @powershot24 did a great job reviewing your build, so I have nothing to add. My only comment was what he had brought up about the carbon fiber trim, as I remember VA7 is a new option in 2027 (matte vs non-matte). As for the interior colors, the saddle is really beautiful, but has that more traditional saddle (brownish/orange - I am bad with colors) look, where as the espresso is a dark brown. I have tartufo brown in my current 2025 G550 and I LOVE the color, but they are different looks. In my opinion, with that beautiful Deep Green non-metallic (which was one of my 3 choices I had when I ordered mine), the saddle will be amazing, definitely over the espresso. I also thought about the cherry cargo floor, but my buddy in Miami is building me a lockable low profile drawer set I plan to use for storage.

I have the Cayenne Turbo 2019 with the Cohiba brown interior with the top in truffle brown and i have the G63 2024 with diamond stitch Saddle brown. They both look awesome. Similar in looks.
maybe Saddle brown has a little bit more orange. But i love both.
look out in 2027 in Canada if you get matte carbon interior = you lose the carbon steering wheel. Not sure if that happens to you guys in the US.
