do you believe the MY2007s will be G550 and G63, or one or the other?
either way, i'd consider one of those instead of a hummer, especially if some of the interior engine noise is suppressed.

They are keeping the Kompressor V8 in the AMG G55 for at least this year....
They simply had to update the electronics, however - which they have apparently done/are doing.![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
The inclusion of the new 7-speed tranny in the G500 may make all of the difference in the world with its V8 -![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
Have you considered an H2? I prefer the H2 to the H3. And is this one for the GF, you, or the both of you? (Canepa Design does a fantastic upgrade menu of modification options on the Hummer).

i did consider the H2, but it wades through 20" of water, while the H3 specs at 24". according to H-corporate, those and other specs will remain the same for MY2007. go figure...
it's mainly for me, but i'd like the GF to be able to drive it as well. she likes the H2 more esthetically. also, the H3's significantly less expensive in acquisition (and fuel), and it's practically disposable.
the GF understands my reasoning and concedes. not to mention, i think the rest of the world would be safer with her behind the wheel of the H3, not the H2. ;-)

...........it is really hard to beat a G55 Kompressor. There is nothing out there with its power and off road characteristics. If the sound of the exhaust is the problem, any reputable muffler shop can solve this problem for you by placing additional silencers. Further, you can get a used 05 for under $80K..........same price as a new G500. Get a G55 and you'll be smiling each time you get into the car. I find myself looking for places to drive to.

i know, but i'd prefer to avoid aftermarket work. when something goes wrong, everyone involved points fingers everywhere. at least that's been my experience.
and the G-wagen spec -- confirmed by AMG via EM -- is 18" of wade depth. my main purpose for getting this vehicle is weather emergency. wade depth is important. not to mention, those 55k tires and wheels wouldn't roll over obstacles as well as the standard set-up.
i probably should stick with an adventure-package H3.

Thank you,
Did the same person by all three of these or did they all go to seperate homes? Did they trade anything in on them?

One with 4 wheels
Sounds like
to me.
One week they have 3 G55's sittin' in the lot, and a couple weeks later they're all sold? If they sell AMG's this fast, why even come to the forum to put up an ad?
Lame.

Well you never know, there are like 35K members here and word of mouth could have sold them that fast. They were likely shipped around the country to dealers that don't have any or to customers, just my guess.

Carl Lassiter...
i realize the H3 is inferior. i also realize that abandoning it in water or wherever wouldn't cause me to twitch or stutter, as i would if i were to lose my SL65 to similar circumstances.
the H3 is disposable. the other marques are not so. i won't mind lugging boxes or topsoil or tools in an H3; i would moreso in the others.
if i had my way, i'd get the toyota FJ cruiser. but there are too many deficiencies in the current version to make it practicable. therefore, the H3 probably is the next best choice.

G55 special at Glauser update
They were sold via eBay and walk-ins.
We do our best to post good deals on this site as a paying sponsor. We have had good success doing so.
I consulted with the webmaster of this site and we both felt it appropriate to say the car's were all sold to eliminate any confusion.
We are in the business of selling cars and advertise them in many, many places. We may not sell them on this site but word of mouth definitely gets around.
2 of the G's sold locally(different people), they are very popular in Colorado.
1 is going to Texas.
Thank you for your support
