2007 G's are at the dealers!

Ken Garff in Salt Lake City, Utah has 3 black 2007 G500's (sticker was around $84,000) on all 3 and they had 1 black 2007 G55 (sticker was around $109,000). The center deck was re-done but it has the SAME steering wheel and the SAME boring orange gauges (Speedometer,Gas, RPM). Overall, they looked nice with the new command system in them.

Damn. Not what I wanted to hear. I have a G55 coming and I already notified my dealer/rep that I need to wait for the updated instrument cluster, rear tail lights, etc. The wait is wearing on me...kinda losing the motivation. MB has really got to get their act together with these G's or just pull them. Keep them more exclusive rather than playing with the true fans.

The G55 offers an experience that is quite unique regardless of some gauges; I'd maybe look at a Cayenne Turbo or RR Sport if the gauge cluster and nav are a significant factor in your purchase decision.

Had a 2006 RR Supercharged (not sport). Dealership bought it back from me before it was considered legally as a lemon. So, I have a bad taste with them now and all british cars. True fan of a G for a long time and finally ready to buy but can never seem to get a straight story with these "updates". I know I shouldn't be concerned with the guages or simple things like that. Just concerned on spending the cash - I want the most up to date I can get for my money. Now I may be considering saving $50K and perhaps buy a 2005 Grand G55. At least I know what I'm getting and what's 30+/- HP. Tough decision.

.........I am not sure you have a tough decision. The new G55 has 500crankHP which is an improvement of 26crankHP or 18WHP in a 6000LB truck. You are trying to talk yourself out of it. If the 18RWHP is an issue for you, then solve the problem by getting an 05 and spending $800 for an ASP pulley. You'll be at 550HP. You can send me half of the $50K you'll save.

Eureka!! =) Still goig to wait for the corrected 2007 model. Pics on the German web-site looks sharp. I'm actually not a huge horsepower fan so the 26+/- does not necessarily sway me. Only that I love the truck and decided to buy one. Test drove an 05 G55 and it hooked me...unbelievable. As soon as I have it I will post pics. Maybe one of of the first with the updates if my dealer gets on the ball and hustles to grab one when it becomes available.

I was excited about the idea of the G63! Rhetorical question, but what happened to that concept? I'm a little vexed about the whole thing, but........... hey!

20+ to list......
Get the G55 while supplies last, cause, IMO, G63 is not as exciting as G55.

I just test drove a new 07 G55 over at sacramento mercedes benz, very sharp looking, has a newer nav system finally, wheels center is painted same color as the 65's wheels, has projectors with HID's, i like it headlights a hell of alot more than my cls.
