07 bmw 750i-08 g55-08 4runner
just took delivery
just took delivery of a 2008 g55. drove for 2 hours then service engine light came on. taking it to the dealer tomorow. at first i was upset about the changes for 2009, now iam even more upset of the service engine light. only 38 mile on it.

just dropped it off at the dealer. they said they will call in a couple hours. i got my fingers crossed

that happens to me a lot....sometimes when I shut the car off and start it back up again it goes away....it happens a lot when my tank is low or if I drive it for awhile

this happened to my sisters 2008 g500 on the 2nd day ...it was just some thing related to emissions "which makes the gas come out cleaner" they fixed it same day.

dealer called.... asked questions about the last time fueled it and how long did i drive it before i noticed problem. no word yet on what the problem is and what caused it. i called the dealer and asked for a refund or exchange. i wasn't expecting to take it in to service the same day i got it. iam thinking it might be a lemon

try and remember if you closed/locked the gas cap all the way

If he bought it new it should have came with a full tank and it only has 38 miles now.

The porter might have not closed the cap properly. Don't freak, most issues show at the begining if there are any. Just find out what caused it.

just got it back from the dealer. gas cap off at idle code and a misfire code. they cleared the codes then trued to duplicate the fault. wasn't able to duplicate faults. told me everything is ok

i get the check engine light all the time. every time it has been a misfire. the most annoying thing is thee brightness of the yellow while driving at night. car runs fine, just a pain to get the ode cleared every time

what happened to the ole days when you could just insert an old red bandana into the fuel hole of your old plymourth duster and ride ride ride with no lights blinking at you
glad it all worked out and, Nice G Unit you got there!!

runs great now. thing is a monster. this may be off subject, but the guy at the dealer told me that i have to buy a module or dongle in order for my bluetooth to work. does anyone know if a Vertu is compatible if i was to buy the module? dont need to spend $500 USD if my phone is not compatible. thanks for all the help

vertu works. at least yours has bluetooth unlike my ******* '07 with no command controls on steering wheel or b.tooth

The vertu will work fine, but you need to purchase the item that they are stating for $500. I bought it for the s550 and it works perfect.

Th G forum may not be for you. Take a look a the R-class for more curves
