My G55

I bought this G55 last week. My first. I love it!

I didnt know the AMG version was around back in 2000, I guess it was in the Europe / Middle East market.

Accident free, full dealer service history, clean interior, done only 50,000 miles.

Any recommendations of interior or exterior upgrades?

Interior is black. Will take some pics later.

It does not have COMMAND. Is it possible to retofit?

I am thinking of changing the interior leather to saddle color (something like Designo). Any thoughts?

Congrats...what model year is this G55? There are a few things about it that seem a bit inconsistent with it being a 2000 model unless the owner upgraded some parts over the years with newer ones.

I am curious what is not consistent with it being 2000 model year....can you help me by highlighting a few things? Did u mean some things look older or newer than 2000? If newer, perhaps the owner upgraded some things?

One question, and I apologize if this is insulting in any way, but have you verified that's it's actually a G55? Does it have an AMG engine labeled engine? Also, it appears to be a 2001 model G-Class, not a 2000 based on several exterior and interior features (wheels, clear turn indicators, rain sensor on windshield, rear reversing sensors, body-colored bumpers, etc.). Also, the rounded exhaust tips were only added to the 2003 G55, before that they were square. The wheels are also from the G500. Up till 2003, Mercedes used different wheels for the AMG models.

What confused me is that there are inconsistencies which may all be upgrades done by the previous owner but it's better to check and be sure why so much of the exterior was changed.

No offence taken...The vehicle is actually a G55 originally sold by Gargash as a G55 and verified by them as a G55 at the time of my recent purchase.

The registration card also says G55.

The first owner was a VVVIP so they may not have spared any expense in adding any upgrades / changes as per their likes or dislikes.

By the way the exhaust pipes are square, not round, so its consistent with being pre-2003 model year as mentioned by you.

The vehicle & its full history was checked thoroughly by Gargash before my purchase.

By the way, it was not uncommon for Mercedes to upgrade a vehicle during the same model year.

I need to know about the dual rear antenna is it real OEM accessorise or its just after market?
