The current supercharged model is better suited for the G55 because of the very high torque, which helps a lot in a heavy SUV. In fact, it is due to this high torque that the G55 continues to retain a 5-speed automatic as opposed to the new 7G-tronic used by AMG's other models. All the V12 benzes also still use the previous generation 5-speed gearbox.

2003 SL500 2005 G55
this might sound off topic......but I was wondering how to find the 07-up headlights.....I want to change mine but I cant find them online....I already have bi xeons so I dont need that just the headlamps itself. Do you where I can find them and how much?

It's the same 5.4L supercharged (kompressor) V8 as before, but for 2009 the output has been increased to 507HP. My understanding for future AMG models (which may or may not include the G-Class), a 6.2L bi-turbo was being considered.
