is it true that they will give the 2011 G55 a Face lift?
i wanted to buy a 2010 but one of my friends told me they will give it a face lift in 2011. i also heard that they will add LSD lights and face lift the complete car.

The rumored facelift and move to the new twin turbo engines is expected in the 2012 model year. Major change for 2011 is the introduction of RHD variants for some markets such as the UK. At least that's what the current consensus is from various sources.

seems odd that they would do a major facelift to the g wagon. I would imagine the basic design remains or they eventually stop making it but a total facelift I dont understand that, can somebody tell me where this info is coming from. thanks

Forget it Spencer. No way on Earth MB is face lifting the G-class. It's been the same for the past 30 years. Why would it change now.

It is only a rumor based on this article (German) which states that the front end needs to be modified to conform to EU pedestrian safety regulations that come into effect in 2012. This is a rumor and the picture is an artist's concept:

Again, this is a rumor combined with a photoshop done by a magazine. I too am not a fan, and expect that the final result, if changes do happen, continue to be tasteful in the way MB has handled them in the past.

GT63S ePerformance 4dr, '25 Bentayga Black Ed.(wife), Wrangler and 250 MLB(kids)
The new 5.5 TT,with it's superior horsepower and torque and much improved efficiency is a no brainer for that truck.
On top of it,it will be the only AMG with that engine that has it's designation still making sense,unlike the rest of them.

Dear all,
Last week I went to the EMC motor show in abudhabi and it's the largest MB facility in the world and I talked to the ordering officer in their showroom he granted me that the only change will be the tv at the back in the front seats headers as in the ML 63 nothing in the front or the grill and the price will be raised up around a 100,000 aed in my opinion due to the raise of the euro lately and I didn't had any problems in buying the new one and I've stated that to him but he replied saying there should be a press release if there're any changes and if I don't know "the ordering officer" then there's a problem" thanks
