Difference between 2010 model and 2011
Hi Guys,
My sister is looking to purchase a G55. She called the dealership and they said the price difference between a 2010 vs 2011 is about $10,000. Now I am wondering if there any difference between the 2010 or 2011 other than 2011 being newer.
thanks
Adam

New 2010?
Are you sure they were not comparing a new 11 with a low mileage 10? The 10k sounds like the difference between those.

If she wanted the 2011 model it would be $126,000. My family has purchased a couple of Benz's from them this dealership before that is is why they are giving her such a good deal.

I believe both are brand new. My Brother just purchased a brand new G55 2010 himself for $116,000 out the door less than 2 months ago from the same dealership. And They said they can give the same deal to my sister for another 2010 model.

Sorry I read your op to imply that MSRP from MY 10 to 11 was increasing by 10k which did not seem right. Depending on color that is about 5-6.5% off MSRP which is a good deal. I believe dealers only have 6.5% in the car up front.

2010 G55 MSRP is 123,500$
2011 G55 MSRP is 126,500$
Where do you guys get the 10K$ increase from?
I never bought a MBZ from the dealer where I got my 2010 G55 and still got a 5K$ discount. Dealers, in general, still give the same discount on incoming 2011 G55s.

There are still rumors that the 2011 model will have some changes, but nothing is confirmed yet. Production of 2011 models begins in September, so not much longer till we know for sure...may be worth waiting.

I saw a press release this past week stating the g class will not be changed other than on the g55 there will no longer be the covers on the lamp guards or turn signals.

If your in the US you should be able to purchase a new 2010 G55 for 110K. Haven't see any confirmed data on US MY11 changes/upgrades if any however, I doubt we will see anything substancial until MY12
