Leaked image of undisguised 2013 G63/65 AMG

My guess is that this is the G65 with a special front grill and 20" rims. Introduction expected in April at the Beijing Auto Show, with production starting in September.

Glad I waited for the new variant. I bet it's the G63. Looks like distronic will be available (sensor in front bumper).

What do you make of the depression in the side of the front bumper? Seems deep for an ultrasonic sensor and odd for an attachment point. Camera perhaps?

More likely a fog light.

Absolute distronic. Other images in the forum show the lens only on one side of the front bumper making a fog light less likely. The lens itself is the same unit used on other models for radar guided cruise control.

The depression on the driver's side of the bumper could potentially part of a cornering light assist. I guess camera. Any other ideas?

I like the wheels, not liking the tires for a supposed off-road beast....

Rims look like the optional 20" 5-split spoke wheels that I've ordered on my G63.

This is the order sheet for the G63. The 17" 5-split spoke wheels shown on this image was an error and has subsequently been changed to 20".
