Has anyone here done this? Would be interested in getting feedback on their experience. I for one find the stock exhaust notes to be adequate but I like the option for being highly obnoxious at the touch of a button 
I use the word "obnoxious" with humor as the truck already has an interesting attitude of its own!

I had a chance to hear and get a ride on the Brabus G63 with valve control exhaust at the Essen Motorshow last month. The exhaust is two or 3 times louder that your stock exhaust. The V8 rumble is much more clearer.

Has anyone installed this on their G yet? I am concerned about service lights coming on and I really don't have the patience to deal with that. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I don't think you will have a problem with the service lights, unless it was not installed correctly. You can actually go down to your local mercedes benz dealer and buy this exhaust from them and have your vehicle warranty in tact.

You will not have an issues with the service engine light. This exhaust has been tested and engineered to not have issues.
