Facelifting G55 to G63
Is there any chance that the interior leather aka the seat covers and door inserts are transferrable from a G63 to a 55? Loving the diamond quilting in the new cars compared to my ruffled 2011 models.
Almost certainly. However, a quality leather upholstery shop could probably redo your side panels and seats for far less than the cost of the parts from MB. The ruffled inserts are a joke and are up there with my least favorite aspect of the car. The diamond stitch on the new seats is fantastic but the designo seats are fine. I've been thinking about having the ruffled inserts redone with an airleather finish to match the seats. Haven't got around to it. Not really that bothered.
Any updates or photos of your G63 front bumper installation?
I am about to purchase it, and just want to know if there's anything i should look out for during installation.
Thanks.

Where can I get that'll fit a G55, not sure about ebays quality, lots of kits out there

Fog lights never worked. The wires are there, and so is the annoying message on the dash.
the DRL run properly - engine on, lights on, but the fog lights obviously don't.
any idea how to fix this? Shall i fit two small fog lights behind the grilles in the bumper? That's the only solution I can think of.

Did you ever resolve this FOG light dilemma ? I am about to upgrade and trying to figure out what i am going to do with the existing FOG light.
- install small led lights to close the circuit and cancel the error
- put a resistance in the circuit to do the same.
I'm shipping my car to the UK soon so when it's there I'll get around to do the bits that it needs.
