G 63 Discount

Hello,

I am new to this forum but have been using this for a while to learn things about my S550 (2008).

I am planning to purchase new 2017 G 63 (pre order is open with dealer now). I am wondering how much I can negotiate on this very expensive car off of MSRP.
I have done the same with my Porsche Cayman S (build and order) and got 11% off of MSRP.

I am hoping to get around 10% off of MSRP if I order new 2017 G 63. I know there are many experts out there who may know the tricks on how to negotiate.

No negotiations on the G class trucks, maybe 2-4% max off sticker. I'm sure others will chime in and say the same.
You should try anyway as they say "hey you never know"

Do not expect to get much off unless you are buying another car or two in the same transaction or something like that.

Yep. Agree w both. We buy a ton of cars and sprinters from our local dealer, they give us anywhere from 10% to 16% off depending on the model and time of year. For my G, I was lucky to get 4% for a factory order. They only get so many orders and from a business standpoint, I understand they need to make their profit one way or another. Since I am getting exactly what I want, my dealer donates to our charity and they treat us like royalty, I really am happy to pay for it.

Now if you are really looking to deal and aren't picky on what you want, find an in stock unit somewhere and go in there ready to take it home. Then I bet you can get 7-10% off assuming it's nothing special.

My 16 is arriving any day, so I am guessing you won't see a 17 till November.

I wouldn't expect anything more than 4%. Good luck!

Can anyone comment on what seems like very hi resale prices for used G63s? Has the G class always had good resale?

Yes. they are known for holding value. They were also on some published of slowest depreciating cars.

Always. As long as I can remember. Now that the 63 is so much more enjoyable the depreciation should continue to be favorable to owners.

Look at the market for a 13, an average one is 100k. That's pretty amazing considering a new base G (63) is around 138k
