Picked up a g63
Hi guys,
Just picked up a 13 g63 with 20k miles at my Maserati dealer with my old car traded in, this is my first Mercedes and have owned pretty much every other European brands before this ( porsche/bmw/landrover/Mas /Lambo)love the truck so far, and I'm based in Nyc/north jersey. A new newbie questions:
1) There is a pretty noticeable vibration above 80mph, the car runs straight. Is this a wheel balance problem? Or nature of the beast?
2) rear side light error comes off and on, If I smacked the light, it goes away is this something that you guys live with given its a handbuilt old truck?
3)there is 1 year left on the original warranty. Should I buy extended warranty now or towards the end of the warranty period assuming if I keep the truck.
4) I'm fairly active on forums, is this the right forum for g63?
Thanks in advance guys and here is a picture of the truck with a custom bamboo carbon bike.

Nice G63!
1. Vibration is a wheel balance problem.
2. Something is loose with your light. Disarm it and check it out.
3. I dont know how it works in the US but if i have the choice to extend the warranty ill do it.
4. Yes this is the right forum. The problem is that the G-Wagen owners dont spend so many time in the forum. Im also in the Mbworld.org forum and i think its more active than this one.

Isn't this the mbwolrd.org forum? very odd that G-Wagen owners are not so active as they are usually more into cars than the average person.

I'm on my 4th G-Wagen, i've put Brembo's on every one of the others and after having my newest (least powerful) one for just over a week, i've decided to do the same as all ther others, brakes on these trucks simply don't do the trick when hot or especially on mountain road switchbacks - i just hope that Brembo's will fit with stock 19" sport wheels i have on this one

They don't! and i've spent the last 8 months trying to source frome stoptech, brembo, etc etc etc...need 20" wheels to clear any decent size brake uprgade - even the G63 system would require 20" wheels...Argh.....
