Depending in which country we are talking about... Here in the UAE dealers are charging anywhere between $20-30k over retail.. And you'll be lucky to get your hands on one of them.. In Saudi they are not that desirable so you could probably get it for MSRP (+/- $105k).

Gargash in Sh. Zayed Rd. had a white G55 Kompressor in the showroom for sale at a price of Dhs. 464,000 last week. They were willing to sell for 455,000 with full options which comes to about Euro 101,000. Remember that includes freight and 5% import duty plus several optional features.
They have three more G55K's that are on the way to Dubai and are unsold. When I bought my G55 last year from them, they sold it to me at the published Euro price in Germany plus freight and import duty. Because duties are lower here than in Germany, you end up paying a lower price in Dubai for a Mercedes than you would in Germany. Besides, Gargash is always willing to bargain.

True, in Saudi Arabia, not a lot of people are into it, they're mostly into the Range Rovers, Cayennes, and 4.6's....As are many people in UAE from what I notice(especially the white color), but over there they appreciate things like the G more (even for hunting and camping in the desert if i am not mistaken).
Will the G55k have the DVD based COMAND or the CD one?

Jimmy the white G55k is mine, what do u think of it.
i heard they were getting a white one with a red interior on it that is confusing me. which should i got for. and do u think that i can get them to lower the price on my car. they are asking me to pay 450G's. is that a good enough deal? Thx

I saw another white G55k at Spinneys in Jumeirah two weeks ago, was that yours? It was brand new with no license plates and was parked right next to my car.
I liked the white one I saw in the showroom, and I think the price is very high but fair considering the current value of the Euro. If you convert Dhs. 450k into Euros, you are paying almost the same as what someone in Germany would pay. I can't remember exactly what I paid for my G55 last September, but it was around 370,000 (Euro 96,000 at the time).
You can get the G-Class with a range of interior colors. I like the color in your car, the sand color. Very elegant with the black dashboard. I think red would not look good, but I haven't seen it personally. I do know that Gargash has three more G55k's on the way from Germany. Ask the salesman for a list of color combinations coming in the next two months and then make a decision...but if I was getting white exterior then I would go for the interior that yours has.
I am also considering buying a G55k, but not right away. I still have a desire to get a convertible G-Class...but I don't think it will be very practical in the summer.
Please send me a message when you do take delivery of your car...I would love to go for a ride in it and see how much better it is than mine.

My G55k cost me 115 000 Euros with quite a lot of options although not full.
I am to pick it up in Germany which saves me some money, I just can't remember how many % it saves me....sorry.
Germans MB people are 2 million times more efficiant, nice and competant than french ones.

we just got our silver one in and it has a window of 100,770 looks great and sounds like a monster, ride seems to be improved a little, and the additional hp really helps it out, and in my opinion well worth the extra 8-10k for the motor
