Guessing they want to facelift it around the EQG is released or maybe they are focusing on the EQG at the moment and want to make the facelift G perfect, heard facelift G might be getting some sort of electrification (like 48V mild hybrid, or actual hybrid etc.) Just Rumours though.

Makes sense, but don't they really already have that technology? Wouldn't it make sense to roll that out first, and the EQG afterwards so they can sell a bit of both (otherwise they cannibalize sales if they both come out at the same time)? Anyway... another year with super old MB technology being rolled out in their most expensive vehicle.
