2025 AMG G63 MANUFAKTUR Dark Chrome Package??

I know this is a subjective question, but I'll ask it any way as I have to lock in my 2025 AMG G63 order within the next few days. I'm going back and forth between the MANUFAKTUR Dark Chrome Package and the AMG Night Package. The color I'm going with is Selenite Grey metallic with the 21-inch AMG twin 5-spoke, matte black (I prefer the wider side wall and when you go with any darkening package you have to also choose a black rim). I'm thinking of going with the Dark Chrome package but have not seem it in person nor can I really find any good pictures on the web as to what the dark chrome color really looks like (I know I can see examples of dark chrome on Fridges). Has anyone seen the dark chrome package or has it currently on their G63? I know what I'll be getting with the AMG Night Package as many new Gs have some flavor of it, but the dark chrome package is a mystery to me (you really can't tell from the configurator). I'm leaning towards taking a gamble and ordering it (but then again should I be taken a gamble when I'm spending so much), but I'd figured I'd ask the question prior to locking in. I'm also aware that AMG Night Package Magno is also an option, but I don't want my G looking to murdered out (its seems to be heading in that direction) and I thought the dark chrome may lighten it up a little, if that makes sense. At the moment with this config the paint color is metallic, and the wheel are matte and then I would have the dark chrome which is considered what? Am I mixing to many things and should I just play it safe and go with Night package. Again, I totally know this is subjective just asking as I've been chasing my tail on this last decision.

Thanks for you input

2025 G63
Hi @sacs49 -- Was traveling for much of December and had not seen your post until earlier this week. Sorry if this is coming too late to be of use, but came across a video of a 2025 G63 with the Dark Chrome Package and wanted to share it in case it helps.

Fellow forum member Craig B has the Dark Chrome Package on his new G and posted several photos in the big 2025 G63 thread on the W465/W463a G-Class forum. In case linking directly to his post does not work, just go to page 17 and look for post #425 from November 24: https://mbworld.org/forums/g-class-w...ml#post9069769

Your spec looks great! Will be interested to hear if you decided to stick with the Dark Chrome Package or ended up going a different direction. Cheers.

Thank You!

Thank you very much for spending the time to reply with the video and link. I'm sure your busy and really appreciate it. From the video (this is the only video I've seen that shows off the dark chrome so well, also I love the red but I'm not brave enough to order it) I do really like the way the dark chrome looks, and this only reinforces the decision I made a month or so back to update my order to the dark chrome package. I also figured I haven't seen any Gs in my area with the dark chrome package and it would be something a little different to go with my everyday gray color. I was told by my dealer because of the change it pushed back my build date to April. If that's the real reason for the push, I'll never know but he did say many other G63s builds got pushed as well. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it all looks good in the end. Thanks again!!!

You are most welcome and great to hear they helped -- after viewing the video with the red G yesterday, I recalled reading your post earlier in the week so wanted to pass them along.

So glad you went with the Dark Chrome Package! It looks striking and think the spare tire cover looks especially sharp with the dark chrome. You chose a beautiful color combination. We went back and forth for weeks between Mojave Silver, Indium Grey, Selenite, Graphite, and Arabian Grey, viewing dozens of photos of 2019-2024 models in these colors; ultimately we decided on Graphite with the Night Package and the same wheels you selected as we really like the twin 5-spoke design. Had we gone with a bit lighter exterior color, think we would have gone with the Dark Chrome Package as well.

Please post photos of yours after you take delivery! The dark chrome is a neat differentiator for the 25s and will definitely set yours apart. Congrats on your upcoming G and fingers crossed that your build date and ours hold.

I’ve got it on mine, I absolutely love it. It does look better on the Magno paints IMO.

FWIW, first road trip up to the ski house, at 1380 miles and it’s WAY better. Not just a little bit. This is my 3rd, I had a 2020 and a 2022.

Turn in/steering feel, ride comfort, NVH, tech is great, the 48v MHEV boost makes the throttle response way better. The stereo doesn’t suck and rattle anymore. Truck is awesome and took almost everything I despised about the last 2 I had and fixed it.

I’m someone that sold my Urus S after 300mi because I was so pissed how little they updated it. This G is a huge improvement over the 19-24, you can tell they spent a lot of time and money to make it better.

I just reviewed your build, and if you’re going with gloss paint, I’d recommend just doing the night package. The black of the night by package will be better contrast and match the wheels.

My personal take, if you want a similar look to what you’ve got that would look even better, would be Platinum Magno with the black chrome package. That would be super tasteful.

Thanks for your input. The die has been cast on mine, so we will see how it looks in the end. I love your build it looks great. I've always like the Magno paints, I was just worried about the maintenance of it, but I guess with PPF its less of a concern now adays. I currently have a 2015 G63 that I purchased new and have never had any issues with it, but when I heard that this may be the last generation of the V8, I figured it was time to upgrade before I lose my chance. I ordered mine with the active ride suspension (I betting you did as well), I'm sure there will be no comparison to what I'm used to as this point. Thanks for your input and pictures. Good luck with it!
